The Space:
Sitting in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area, the location is hard to beat. Eagles Haven is only two miles from downtown Blue Ridge, the Toccoa River and the shores of Lake Blue Ridge. It feels a bit like your own private summer camp, offering a wonderful deck where you can barbecue and picnic in the forest canopy, an outdoor firepit for summer s'mores, and a private hot tub to relax you after a day of adventure.
The property consists of a four-bedroom (plus loft) main cabin (sleeps 10) and a two-bedroom guest cabin (sleeps 6), with the expansive, mountain view deck connecting the two homes. The versatility offered by these two side by side cabins is hard to come by. The main house is wonderfully bright and open, offering a lofty great room with a gas fireplace, a cable TV, and a lovely setting for family gatherings. Use the kitchen's newer stainless steel appliances and granite countertops to prepare homemade meals, then spend the after-dinner hours playing Ping-Pong, setting up board games in one of the two sunrooms, or unwinding in the hot tub on the screened porch.
The guest cabin boasts the same amazing view from its sunroom, as well as a living room with a gas fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, and TVs in the living room and both bedrooms.

We had several issues with parts of our stay.
The smaller cabin smelled exactly like a cigarette throughout the entire place. Every bit of bedding/pillows in the small cabin reeked of cigarette smell. We had two families with babies who were intending on staying in that house and weren’t able to because they didn’t want their babies exposed to the smoke. With a strict no smoking rule on the listing this should have never been an issue.
We arrived at 4:45, which is 45 minutes past the check in time. Cleaners were still there cleaning up so we had to wait for them to finish cleaning before we could get inside.
A majority of towels for the main cabin were left in the washer unable to be used until we completed the load.
The coffee pot in the smaller cabin was FULL of mold.
Several bowls were full of what looked to be rat poop.
Lastly, the fire place would not work for the entire weekend. Someone came to the house to help fix it which took a good thirty minutes and it shut off as soon as she left.
The house was lovely but we were disappointed with our stay for the above reasons.
