Boutiquey hotel at a great location!
The location was great and breakfast is included in stay. Rooms are lovely and bathroom is huge. Your room is a different code to the front door which makes it feel really safe.
Getting into the property was a little tricky. They had sent out a form to fill out but originally couldn’t get past the secondary contact details but then managed too. If you are looking for someone to talk to the cleaners and the women who do breakfast are lovely but there’s no actual concierge.

Good stay, bad check-in
Great location, quiet, safe and close to activities and restaurants. Clean place and generally comfortable.
The check-in experience is quite bad. First of all, the online check-in is a bit of a bother. They ask to upload your passport photo and that process is very failure-prone. Second, they are really spammy with emails. I got around 20 emails from HOLT for my stay. There are no personnel to do the check-in in person if you prefer that.

A perfect place to stay in Oaxaca
There's no better place to stay if you are coming to Oaxaca. The hotel is located at the core of everything, so it's really easy to move around. The setup is great, it's got a beautiful and luxurious vibe. The courtyard was so peaceful and beautiful, and the room was very comfortable. I work from my computer, the internet was always up and the speed was great, important for people like me who need reliable internet. The staff is lovely and their breakfast was amazing, they made my stay a thousand times better. The hot tub was always clean and ready to use. Thank you HOLT, I had an amazing time and will recommend this hotel to everyone I know!

The local cleaning staff and locals at the property were very good. They are not a problem at all.
This property is advertised as a hotel, but it most definitely is NOT. I specifically wanted a locally owned hotel, as the locals are rightfully protesting being priced out of their community by foreign investment. This is a Romanian/American couple who displaced a multi home unit, with their lease to rent capitalistic venture. They put some cheap make up on the interior and are raking in cash, cutting out locals. It’s actually an Airbnb as well. I should have checked more closely, but by the time you get to the “check in verification” I had already paid. In addition there was a leak in the bathroom sink and a foul odor coming from the shower grate. Please do your homework and find a locally owned hotel. The HOLT is the venture capitalist last name. Not hard to find on a quick google.
