Progress Guest Farm

Huge comfortable villa with floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the wilderness. Great, soft, comfortable beds w thick warm blankets. Also a space heater which I didn't use. Short drive from WDH airport, but you feel like you are miles from civilization. They can come to pick you up and/or drop you off at the airport. Run by a pleasant friendly family who treat you to their wonderful homemade foods such as oryx lasagne for dinner, and smoked oryx, jams, and omelets for breakfast. Beautiful grounds. I arrived at night and left early the next morning, so I didn't see much wildlife, but there were footprints outside my room in the morning.

Ziggy and Bertie were wonderful hosts - giving us a very warm welcome, showing us round the farm and the local wildlife. They really couldn’t have been friendlier. Even getting up to open the gate for us when we left at 04.45! Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were cosy with lovely views. Perfect stop near the airport! And we enjoyed a delicious evening meal too!

A good quiet rest

When we arrived the outer gate was locked which was pretty bad. We telephoned the booking.com number for Progress Guest Farm and it went to a person who no longer works there. The bed was pretty hard The poor lighting made it impossible to read in the room except with a bed light but one of those didn’t work. No internet in the room or even in the dining room.. just at one place on the property
