The 1883 Peabody House Bed & Breakfast

Very steep stairs. 2 sets to reach our rooms. Challenging to climb and carry suitcases

Victorian decor can be a little dark and, yes, the drapes were heavy and dark but the lighting was excellent -- great for reading where ever you were. The suite was very comfortable and clean. I loved the large bath tub. The on-site manager, Tamara, was wonderful - always available to answer any questions and her quiche breakfasts were great. Coupled with fruit and parfait, the breakfast was perfect. My only warning. and perhaps this is on the site. is that there are a lot of hills and stairs in Eureka Springs so if mobility is an issue, perhaps another city would be better if you are planning on exploring by foot. We really enjoyed the additional exercise and loved the Peabody.

Very steep steps to entry, then another very steep flight up to our rooms. But it’s an old home, so unavoidable
