De host heeft ons enorm verwend met vele flessen water, eten, koek, drankjes en nog veel meer. Het was niet te geloven wat er allemaal in de koelkast stond. Daarnaast is het een heerlijke plek met een fijn zwembadje. Eigenlijk hoef je de deur niet uit. Als je dat wel wilt heb je vervoer nodig. Wij scooteren graag en dus heeft de host vervoer voor onze koffers geregeld vanaf de ferry, zodat wij gelijk een scooter konden huren. Je hebt veel privacy en alle faciliteiten die je maar kunt bedenken. We zijn enorm positief!!!!

De badkamer was niet helemaal schoon, niet erg voor ons, de douche bij het zwembad voldeed meer dan goed!

Kareshome is a unique and beautiful property set in the West-facing hillside above Kantouni beach and accessed by a rough private road. Maria and Nikolas are attentive and generous hosts. We were met at the port by Maria who took us to a car hire shop and then took us to the property where we met Nikolas. Inside, the living area is cool, and comfortable with an exceptionally well equipped kitchen with a coffee machine and sandwich grill too. The cupboards and fridge were even stocked with all the staple foods you could need, plus fresh fruit, bread, ham, cheese and snacks, and enough water to see us through our stay, which was a huge bonus. There was also plenty of clean linen and towels, including beach towels. The bathroom cabinet was stocked with toiletries and there was lots of hot water and a great shower. The outside courtyard is particularly special, with stunning sunset views and a pretty garden. The pool isn't heated but by mid-afternoon the sun warmed the water. The outside dining area is pretty and decorated with lovely curtains and there is a swing too. We used the BBQ every night and Nikolas explained that one oven is for cooking lamb, and the other for pizza. There is also a smaller table and chairs and also two sun loungers. The courtyard gets the sun all day but there is a gorgeous tree in the middle for shade. Locally, it is a 15 minute walk along the road to the nearest taverna and a 30 minute walk, downhill, to Kantouni beach, which has various sea-front tavernas and sunbeds, plus shady trees to lie under. The walk back is very steep and a car is recommended, but there are plenty of taxis about if you want to venture out on foot. There is a big supermarket a five minute drive away and it is only a 15 minute drive into town, which is a fishing port, and there you will find fresh fish stalls, a butcher shop and traditional greengrocers If you love outdoor cooking with fresh local ingredients, this place is paradise! Highly recommended!

Nothing, it's perfect!

Private location and pool, amazing view! We had a great last minute stay after flight cancelation due to strong winds. Nikolas was able to quickly get the place ready for us with an early check in. We truly enjoyed the location and outdoor areas. Wish we knew about the place upon arrival vs at the end of our trip. Will hope to come again and stay for longer!

Not a problem for us - we had a car, but a little far for walking to the beach
