Villa Venetoklis

We booked this well over a year ago for my 60th birthday with extended family so were really hoping this lived up to the reviews and our expectations. I don't think any of us have ever had such a faultless holiday. The location is perfect just a couple of minutes from both the beach and Lindos village and has the most spectacular views. The accommodation is huge with four really big en-suite bedrooms (one even has an additional double mezzanine room with separate en-suite). The rooms are also entirely separate from one another so we all had a bit more privacy. There are five or so separate outside seating areas / terraces so offers an amazing level of flexibility. However great this place looks in the photographs they do not do justice to the reality. When we arrived the fridge was stocked with all of the essentials to get us started on our holiday and throughout our stay our amazing host Georgia was ALWAYS on hand to help out with whatever we asked of her (taxis, dinner reservations, fresh towels etc). I am prone to being hypercritical but have absolutely nothing but praise for Villa Venetoklis and would book again without hesitation. This was intended to be the trip of a lifetime and was everything I could possibly have wished for.

Regarding the Villa absolutely nothing to fault. We have been regular visitors to Lindos for 15 years now and I think it's fair to say that, over the years, it has become more commercialised and less "organic" than it was in 2011. It is the backdrop to a million Instagram moments which somehow makes it feel a little less special. But it's a bit unfair to criticise a place for being too beautiful..

The property was extremely well set up for a group, we loved the terrace and the stocked kitchen. The location was incredible, being a short 3 min walk down the stairs to the ocean but also a 5 min walk to the streets of Lindos. Georgia, our host, was extremely kind and generous and responded within minutes to any queries we had. The view is second to none! Fingers crossed we can return some day, we loved it so much!
