Cozy Apartment In Dubrovnik With Wifi

1. The views from the property is one of the best I've ever experienced. Sitting on the terrace with grape vines providing shade with actual bunches of grapes hanging down, rosemary all around and lemon trees by your side while enjoying the Adriatic Sea is a dream, a Mediterranean dream. 2. It was so clean and very quiet. 3. Luksa thought of everything that we might need on vacation. There was not one thing we wished his place had. For example, the mosquitos were out in full force one night and he had provided mosquito rings to burn as well as bug spray. He left a large bag of ice in the outdoor kitchen freezer. That bag lasted all 6 nights for us and we enjoyed them with the welcome drinks (wine, beer, coke zero, large water bottle) he left for us in the outdoor fridge. BTW, the water is very good to drink. We left his place for a 5 star hotel in Split and it did not compare to Luksa's place. We wished we just stayed at Luksa's the whole time. 4. We really enjoyed the quiet mornings on the terrace, drinking coffee. and watching the Adriatic Sea with some amazing yachts and cruise ships. Then taking a short walk to the water for a refreshingly cool dip. It really wasn't that bad going down 165ish steps to the water. 5. The outdoor kitchen is amazing. Using the sink made from 15th (or 14th???) century stone while watching the Adriatic made us want to eat in every meal. 6. We didn't think we'd use the Jacuzzi since it was hot but using it after sunset and in the morning was heavenly and perfect for sore legs! 7. Really an amazing place and one of kind experience we truly enjoyed. Thank you, Luksa!

1. The thing we most disliked was the drive and this has nothing to do with Luksa or his place. If you're renting a car, get the smallest car possible because once you make the left turn U turn (it's odd but that's exactly what it is) that's where the challenge begins. It's a single lane road that's used for both directions as well as people. Some parts are so narrow that if you meet another car coming in opposite direction, you have to reverse back. This was pretty challenging since our rental did not have rear view cameras, only sensors. Then once you reach the church (longest 5 minute drive ever!) you literally drive around the church, making a sharp right turn hugging the church while making sure there are no cars coming towards you and then you're in the clear. There's a nice reserved spot for you right in front of the property. People live upstairs and they do this drive everyday but for us, it was just very stressful. We left our rental car as much as we could to avoid this drive. 2. It's a hike to Old Town in the summer heat. We walked slowly since it was so hot, and it took us about 35 minutes to reach the Polce Gate. We did take a taxi back from Polce Gate to St. Jacob church after exploring. The taxi driver quoted us 20 Euros to go back to the church and that's what we paid. It sounded a little steep but it was the best 20 Euros to save us from walking even more. We did see Uber was cheaper but the row of taxi was just so easy. But, once the heat broke, we enjoyed walking to Nautika (by Pile Gate) for dinner and back afterwards.

Beautiful views, exceptionally clean and well equipped apartment. Especially loved the outside terrace, kitchen and hot tub. Hosts were very welcoming and attentive.

We liked everything! It was superb.

Cadre exceptionnel Logement très bien équipé, la terrasse et le jacuzzi avec vue extraordinaire!! A l'écart du bruit de la ville. Un accueil très sympathique avec corbeille de fruits et produits d'épicerie qui depannent bien.

Absolument rien

Home away from home. Very comfortable apartment with fantastic views of Dubrovnik from the patios and living and bedroom. The dedicated parking space was easy to navigate. Loved the sound of the sea which was the only sound you can hear in this location. Lovely gardens and outdoor living space. Hosts are generous and helpful and provide everything you need and more for a comfortable stay. Easy and mostly flat walk into Dubrovnik old town. We loved the visits from the very friendly neighbourhood cats.

The outside living space is beautiful but the inside living space is not very big. It was adequate for summer but might feel a bit small inside during winter or bad weather. Finding the property the first time was a little tricky as you need to drive the narrow road around the back of the Church. Ubers pick up and drop off in front of the Church - not to the actual property. There are lots of steps to the nearby beach but it’s beautiful, clean and not crowded.
