Chic 1-Bed Apartment in the Heart of Newtown

Amazing location, very clear instructions for access

Loved the location. So close to the main high street in Newtown. It was generally quiet except for one night and one morning out of the two weeks. The shower was large and powerful. The bed was very comfy but not the pillows. Took us a few days to work out how to switch on the ceiling fan! Appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee, plus washing up liquid and washing machine powder!

The sliding bathroom door came off its slider inside the wall cavity and we were locked out of the bathroom over night. We just couldn't get it to open. We couldn't access the toilet or our toiletries overnight. Luckily in the morning we tried again to open it using a different technique and it opened with force! DO NOT CLOSE THE BATHROOM DOOR FULLY SHUT!!!!

The apartment was well-appointed and comfortable. It met our needs well. We needed somewhere to stay that was local to our house that was receiving renovations. This was a simple 8-minute walk to home. The facilities were excellent

There seemed to be no hot water for the kitchen sink that was easily solved by boiling the kettle.

This was our second stay at the apartment. The location is great, in a quiet street just behind the main road where the buzz is happening. The place is spacious and is well-equipped.

The place needs a more detailed clean. The main issue has been the bed. The pillows are super thin and, the main pillow has a pillow case that does not fit and comes undone easily. Not very pleasant. I provided feedback with my last review in March but nothing had changed. I don't understand why the host can't invest $50 in proper pillows and covers. The other main concern was that the host (madecomfy.com) to upload my ID details (including photo), otherwise the booking would be cancelled at my cost. As a previous identity theft victim, I was deeply concerned about this. You should know this before making the booking. Finally, I requested an invoice multiple times from the host, however never received a response. Not sure if I would book again.
