Beach Front on the Bay in our Rustic Cottage

We are Beach Front and Pet friendly, Large Smart TV's with High Speed WiFi.

This is a large roomy home. A bit rustic, but pet friendly and WATERFRONT!!

Enjoy the views of the beach and the water from our large deck recently built on the back of this Beach front home. From this deck you can watch the waves roll in, while keeping an eye on the little ones.

This historic home features 4 bedrooms, the master with a Queen and a Twin and an attached full bathroom, the second bedroom also has a queen, the third bedroom has two Twins and the 4th bedroom, on the lower level has two Twins and one Queen. This unit can accommodate 11 guests in the beds, possibly even more if you "pile in" and use the sofa's or your own air mattresses and sleeping bags.

We have 2 Living Rooms - one for adults and one for the kids! Both with Large Smart TV's for your relaxing entertainment.

This Beach Front Cottage is so close to the water you can throw a rock in it.

Park directly in front of your door and be on the sandy dunes within a few steps. This large sprawling home is fantastic for multi-families or smaller groups. We love our beach house and its rustic nature. For some it could be considered rough. Sand can blow thru gaps in the older windows and you may feel an occasional draft. If you love the original pink and green colored tiled bathrooms, the original parquet wood floors and love being right on the beach, then this one is for you. We hope you love its rustic nature just as much as we do!

Our fully stocked kitchen has a "pass thru" to the large living room. We also have a large dining table with seating for 6.

We are pet friendly with appropriate fees. With very little carpet, clean up is a breeze! We even have an area that is perfect for Camp Fires in our fire pit in the back. S'mores Anyone?

Parking is available for at least 3 vehicles, maybe more depending on the size. We will allow some smaller events provided they are subdued. This is a residential home in a residential neighborhood and we want to respect our neighbors. Please check with me in advance for any such gatherings.

Please keep in mind that even with some modernizing over the years, this property is a historical home that is now over 80 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its charm as an older beach cottage. Our bathrooms are not as large as modern built, but even so, we hope that you will love our older and charming home.

* PLEASE NOTE: Included in the cleaning fee price is damage waiver coverage in place of a traditional damage deposit so you can have a carefree stay.

It was really hot when we got in there. The owner was notified and came to check.He said he knew those 2 ac units would need to be replaced. He did replace them that day. Shouldn't it have been checked before we got there? The floor was swept but not mopped. Our feet were black right away. There was a little short broom and dust pan for us to use. No mop, no vaccum. We would have mopped for the kids to play on the floor if we had a mop. Water runs constantly in the tub. Hot water is scalding hot as soon as you turn it on. Kids could not wash their hands without assistance. A knob that you put on a house's outside entry door was on a bedroom and got locked. There was no key. Thank goodness that the grandchildren weren't in there. He had to come drill it out. He put the old one in the corner and warned us about metallic shreds that he couldn't clean up. I put it in the trash and cleaned the best that I could. I had to buy a new bedroom knob and my son in law was given permission to install it. The owner said that he would charge me $100 if he bought it and installed it. My son had to go spend extra money and get a room for him and his family due to the continuous issues of the house. The one night that they did stay, my daughter in law woke up to my granddaughter saying "mommy my feet are wet." The basement floor was covered in water from whatever broke in the house. I understand that things break, but this is too much. Having already spent extra money for a safe place for their 3 children, they left a day early. They had nowhere to sleep without walking in water. The master bathroom floor was cracked. We could live with that, but then the floor started feeling weak to step on it. We were afraid to use it. We save all year for this family time together. It turned out so bad. It broke my heart for half of my family to not be there. They can't take more time off from work, not to mention spend more money on another vacation. We could live with rustic, but this is not safe. It's just heartbreaking and very disappointing.
