L’arrivée autonome est pratique et bien organisée. Le logement est en rez-de-chaussée mais bien sécurisé, et on apprécie le sens du détail de l’hôte : une bouteille de vin, des biscottes et confitures nous attendaient à l’arrivée. Le logement est très bien équipé et regorge de technologie et de gadgets. Le petit-déjeuner est inclus dans un café à 2 pas, avec une pièce sucrée ou salée et une boisson chaude. Côté pratique : stationnement gratuit et facile dans la rue, et environ 20 minutes à pied pour rejoindre le début d’Ortigia.

Quelques points à prendre en compte : le logement est assez bruyant et très humide (atmosphère et odeur). La literie est correcte sans être des plus confortables. Les délais de réponse de l’hôte peuvent être un peu longs. Globalement, bon rapport qualité/prix au vu du tarif de la nuit.

The apartment was very spacious, modern, and well-equipped. The location was also very convenient, being only a 20-minute walk from the city center. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome gesture of a whole bottle of wine was waiting for us upon arrival. Although we didn’t meet the host personally, he was very kind and responsive in his messages throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we had to call him to open the main door for us, as the keys were left inside the apartment, but everything was resolved quickly and smoothly.

There was a constant smell of humidity throughout the apartment, which unfortunately we could not get used to during our stay. Although there was an air purifier in the room, it did not improve the atmosphere or make the air feel fresher. In addition, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom drain/siphon, which was quite bothering. The bed was also a bit too hard for our liking, and the bathroom being located on a different level meant having to use the stairs every time, which was not very convenient. The breakfast arrangement was also disappointing. It was served at a café around the corner and included only a pastry of your choice and a rather poor coffee. After trying it once, we decided to skip it for the rest of our stay.
