Terimakasih Raja Ampat

We stayed in a 2 storey property with steps straight down in the Coral reef. It was centrally located on the island, just a short walk away from the lagoon and other villages. The staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating - they went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay, even rescuing us when we unfortunately got caught in the currents! The homestay pets were adorable and very friendly, and the coral reefs and ocean were beautiful to swim in with so many fish. We saw turtles, a shark, a sting ray, and a lot of other fish. The food was nice and all you can eat style. The properties all had hammocks and there are quite a few guests so it felt very homey and community-based. They also offered a lot of different tours at reasonable prices. The communal area was definitely a stand out as well - beautiful, covered and open options, straight over the sand and ocean. Wonderful.

It would be nice to have a shower (there were salt water options), but this seems to be quite typical for raja ampat homestays. Electricity/ power from 6pm to 5am was a little tricky but also seems common (but meant that we were able to disconnect)

In the perfect location, where your bungalow is over the water and very simple but spacious, and airy. The shared bathrooms are again spacious simple and clean. The communal area to hang out is fantastic. The hosts and the guests are all delightful, open and engaging. The food was really great local food, served with heart and care. Wonderful

If you are a person who likes fancy then you should not be looking at staying in a homestay in Raja Amat at all. But if you are in love with nature and the sea at its best, and simple life and wonderful people, then this is the place for you.

This common area is the highlight. The clean toilet with bidet and a working shower. Good range of activities and boats. They sell beers.

Apparently the staff need the approval for many things from someone else. Considering that the place has many bungalows, try to connect people for excursions (ask everybody what they want to do, summarize on a board).

Terimakasih set a whole standard where other places in Raja Ampat hardly compare We loved pretty much everything, the homestay is a small oasis of heaven, with spacious, beautiful and curated water bungalows where we enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets, a nice common area, abundant and good food and very good bathrooms (you get nice showers and western flush toilet, which is not so common in Raja Ampat even in more expensive stays). Also the house reef is very beautiful and it easily compares with more famous spots. But most of all the staff is caring and always available for any necessity. We organized with them all daytrips and transfers. A special thanks to the fantastic ladies that work hard to keep everything tidy and perfect!
