Retreat on Darling - Harbour Views 3 Bed

Location was good, though the entry through the smelly alley was unpleasant. We never used the stairs and before I met her, Jill was sweeping them - would have been better if she'd swept the LIFT! I swept it myself, but it was still dirty and needs to be mopped and have the walls polished. Not a good Entry Statement.

I have left a list! You really need someone to attend to the several small maintenance issues. First thing was the drain in the upstairs bathroom - FULL OF HAIR! Made the shower overflow so there was water to the door! I cleaned out the muck (see photo). I cleaned the grate properly to give the cleaner something to follow.

Great location, close to transport.

If there was a fire at the entry how would you get out?

The location was excellent, everything is at your fingertips, no need to hire a car. There is a bus stop right at the door, with the 442 bus available every 10 minutes (3 stops to Balmain Village shops) which takes you directly to the city (QVB shopping district). Its a 2 second walk to the convenience store (open early til late 7 days) and cafe (great breakfast & coffee). A quick downhill walk to the ferry and harbour front parks. Whilst the address is on the main street, the apartment wasn't noisy as you are located to the rear of the building and off ground level.

I didn't like that you had to access the apartment via a laneway that stores garbage bins from the convenience store. The other oddity is that the bathrooms have the vanity outside the bathroom, handy maybe for groups, by inconvenient for the user of the bathroom.
