Villas Amarillas by Escape Home

Very clean, nice size villa, was cleaned every couple of days with fresh towels.

It faced a main road which wasn’t known when we booked. We were not provided with pool towels.

We stayed here as a family with three teenagers and had a wonderful time. The pool is excellent – large, clean and perfect for relaxing. The villa itself is very comfortable, and the air conditioning works really well. We cooked and also used the barbecue, and there were enough kitchen utensils for everything we needed. The washing machine worked perfectly too. The instructions are in Spanish, so at least we learned a little Spanish along the way. :-) The villa was cleaned during our stay and our towels were changed. Check-in was very easy, even though we arrived late at night, and the lady at reception was extremely kind and helpful. On our last day our flight was quite late, but we had to leave the villa at 10 a.m. The good thing is that you can use the pool and showers at the hotel where you pick up the keys. We also had lunch there, and actually found it much better than the restaurants we tried in Cala Blanca. The paella by the hotel pool was absolutely delicious! Santandria beach was not really our favourite, but we had a car, so it was easy to explore other beaches. Cala Mitjana is definitely worth visiting. You can park on the street right in front of the villa. There is also a small shop nearby where you can get pretty much everything you need, and the rubbish bins are only at the end of the street, so everything is very convenient. The area is beautiful. We absolutely loved this villa and found the Spanish people incredibly friendly. We would happily come back anytime. We had a fantastic holiday here!

Whilst it was basic as per the reviews we’d read, it provided all we needed for a short stay. The pool was the highlight but the a/c was also superb.

The receptionist at the hotel was not helpful. Sent us to the wrong location - very irritating. The location of our particular villa - right next to a very busy road was disappointing although we had been warned of the possibility in the reviews. We considered ourselves unlucky as any of the other villas 2-6 would have been fantastic. Nearer to 6 the better.

Too far from amenities
