Our property is designed for hosting large groups coming to town for events such as weddings, graduations, corporate gatherings, festivals, or any other reason to get your group under one roof to have a special occasion! Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun.

Gauthier House Rules
We proudly welcome you to the historic circa 1880 Gauthier House and hope that you enjoy your stay at your home away from home. We strive to provide a higher level of accommodation for special needs and provide whatever particular services you may require, but have the following rules which must be adhered to unless specifically waived after consultation with us.
1. Check in time: 3 pm
2. Check out time: 11 am. Late checkout may be available with prior approval. Unapproved late checkout may result in an additional nights rent.
3. Self Check in with smart lock.
4. The personal information of all adult guests shall be submitted within 72 hours of booking including name, home address, and phone number. Only registered adult guests and their accompanying children will be allowed to stay overnight on the premises.
5. The individual booking this reservation agrees to inform all guests about these rules and to obtain their agreement to comply with same prior to check in.
6. A security deposit of $1000 shall be collected through Airbnb within 72 hours of booking. The security deposit shall be refundable after checkout provided there is no damage or extraordinary cleaning necessary.
7. Parking on the premises is limited to four vehicles, provided the driveway is never blocked. Do not block driveway. Others have use of the driveway/parking. Additional nearby parking can be arranged in advance.
8. Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the Gauthier House.
9. No illegal activities of any sort are allowed on the premises.
10. No parties or events.
11. Pets under 20 pounds are allowed with an advance $250 deposit refundable after checkout assuming no damage or pet specific cleaning is required. No pet may be left unattended except in a suitable crate.
12. If the kitchen is utilized, all dishes, pots and utensils shall be rinsed and placed in the dishwasher.
13. The Gauthier House, it’s owner and representatives shall have no liability for personal injuries occurring on the premises and guests agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Gauthier House, it’s owner and representatives with respect to any such personal injuries.
14. The stairs to the second floor in the historic Gauthier House are steep and narrow. No children are allowed to access the stairs or upstairs without being accompanied by an adult.
15. Guests shall abide by the City of Lafayette noise ordinance and observe quiet hours from 10:00 pm till 7:00 am weekdays and 11:00 pm till 9:00 am weekends.
16. A programmable safe has been provided for the storage of your valuables. The Gauthier House, it’s owner and representatives shall have no liability for lost or stolen personal property.
17. No subletting is permitted.
18. The violation of these rules or any incident or disturbance involving the police being called to the premises may result it the termination of your stay and removal from the premises without refund.
19. Please report anything that you find on the premises that is broken, damaged or malfunctioning.

What a beautiful property. We booked this property for family travel. Unfortunately it wasn’t a vacation trip but we made the best of it. The host was great. Communication was not an issue. The house was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were comfy and cozy. Just like the photos. My favorite was the window nook inside the library. And the built in cupboards. The kitchen had updated appliances, and the location was central for our needs.

The Gauthier House is a great venue, great location for any group of 10 -12. Jason is a great host, very accommodating and easy to work with. This was our group's second year in a row doing our spring golf trip to Lafayette. We stayed at the Gauthier House both time, and we look forward to returning again next year.

The house was perfect for our stay. It was well stocked with everything we needed and even some extras - a half case of assorted Abita! We had plenty of space & privacy when needed. Neighbors were friendly & neighborhood safe. Location was great for being able to walk to restaurants, the university, etc. Would definitely stay there again!

The property was very nice, clean, and a great location. Our group was 10, 50+ age men on a golf trip to Lafayette, LA. Jason was very responsive to any request we had. We stayed 3 nights and all was great. The only small negative is that it took running the water in the shower for about 2 minutes before the hot water kicked in. Jason told us about that before the trip, so we knew, but it was just a very minor inconvenience.
