Otters View is the definition of cosy, quirky stay and is the perfect place for a group of up to six people to make memories to last a lifetime! With some of the most amazing views Mid Wales' has to offer from the doorstep, this idyllic Underground House nestled in the hillside really is a bucket list stay, so make sure you tick this one off the list
Enter the property from the idyllic outside area and you are greeted by the pristine open plan living/dining & kitchen area, the hub of the Underground House where memories will truly be made. The neutral, warming colours of this interior really give off the home from home glow so you can feel utterly relaxed during your stay.
The kitchen comes complete with oven, hob, microwave, kettle & toaster as well as a fridge with freezer and a large dining area with high stools, the perfect place to enjoy that family favourite supper or get engrossed in a board game. Nestle into the plush grey corner sofa and get stuck into that series on Netflix you had already started!
Otters View is the perfect stay for up to six adults,with two king sized bedrooms & a bunk room, be sure to grab the king room with the doors onto the patio area for easy access to the hot tub! These bedrooms boast crisp, white bedding and the perfect place to relax and make the most of that much needed lie in you have been promising yourself.
The outside space at this property really is idyllic, your own private area overlooking one of Wales' best views, y ou really need to see it to believe it! Relax with a glass of your favourite bubbly in the exclusive hot tub and then later at night toast gooey marshmallows over the fire pit.
Located near the bustling market town of Rhayader, venture out and enjoy the lovely places to eat, watch the Red Kites fed locally, explore the majestic Elan Valley or enjoy a mosey in the local Gilfach Nature Reserve, there really is endless opportunities to explore.

We stayed at otters view for 3 nights to celebrate my wife’s birthday & it did not disappoint! Absolutely stunning location, the views are to die for & so peaceful.
The underground house is gorgeous, so spacious yet cosy, with everything you could need for your stay. Instructions were also clear & easy to get on site & locate the house. Loved every minute, did not want to leave! We will definitely be back soon!

This is a wonderful place to stay, overall condition of the accommodation is really good, hot tub is brilliant and was at a lovely temperature. Woke up to snow on our second day and it was an amazing view to wake up to.

We stayed here for half term min-fri in October with the children and fur babies. Wow what a wonderful stay we had, the place is incredible and the views are just breathtaking!
If I was going to give some cons they would be the following but honestly didn't affect our wonderful stay just some feedback.
Place for a very spacious which is amazing however no storage from r clothes really so we lived out of our suitcase.
The place is spotless however with wet weather and dogs if they supplied a big brush and mop bucket this would have been really handy to just clean up any mess after a wet walk.
We had a little leak near the entrance on the roof so had a little dripping (to be expected with an under hill accommodation)
As you can see it's really minor things and what uod absolutely not stop us recomm or staying in the future!
We found the little hut at the entrance that had an honest box (cash only) that sold eggs and cakes, we had the lemon drizzle one night and was absolutely delicious!
We loved seeing the goats roaming around our accommodation freely, so cute.
Having the hot tub was a lovely treat and so relaxing looking at the breathtaking views.
I can just go on and on with all the positives so just book and see for yourselves, I don't think you will be disappointed.

We had been wanting to stay at these hobbit houses since seeing them on Instagram. We were disappointed. We found them really expensive for what they are. The bunk bed room was claustrophobic and like being shut in a cupboard. In the main bedroom there were no curtains up to the curved parts of the window so when we were in bed people could see us in bed that were walking past. We had really bad condensation in the rooms I’m talking dripping off the windows which wouldn’t be good for anyone with asthma/breathing problems. They say they are pet friendly but then under no circumstances leave your dog in unattended. Our lab is old and can’t walk far so that was a problem as we couldn’t walk as far as we had hoped. We came home a day early and wouldn’t recommend or come back. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but these are really overpriced
