Luxury Waterfront Rockport Villa with private pool and fishing dock

The location and accommodations were great. However, the host is very slow to respond to questions. I did not receive check-in instructions until the day of my arrival, and had reached out to VRBO customer service the day before. Also, although kayaks are pictured in the photos, check-in instructions say that you are not allowed to use them on Salt Lake due to shallow water. The property does not have a kayak launch. We did see other kayakers out on Salt Lake. The kayak rules should be listed in the property details so that renters are aware before they book. The couches are not comfortable and smell like dog.

The bedrooms were so comfortable with tvs in each room. It was so nice having a swimming pool in the back yard. We caught so many fish off the dock, a few black drum we were able to keep and a lot of other fish we threw back. Great location, it took only minutes to get anything we needed from Walmart or HEB, but no hassle of traffic or road noise. The host was friendly with quick responses. We cant wait to come back.

It was the perfect location for our travel needs. With the lake and pool and proximity to beaches, it was great.

The pool was nice and clean and we did enjoy our time on the dock fishing. Lucky for us we had brought some chairs, they only had a couple of the folding umbrella chairs since there were 5 of us the ones we brought made it possible for us to sit on the small patio. The house was not very clean, No big deal I can clean, oh wait there was only a broom and dust pan in the pantry. No cleaning supplies at all. There were no extra trash bags once you filled the one up in the kitchen we had to go buy trash bags. There were 5 of us but there was only 4 plates in the kitchen, no skillet to cook with. We also had to buy a kitchen knife to cut our veggies and prepare our meals. We had to go purchase salt and pepper, but I was kind enough to leave it for the next guest. I have stayed in many houses over the years and this one was completely lacking in basic essentials.
