Romance in the Heart of Winter

The Shepherds Hut was full of character and a very clever use of space. The Log Bunner and Hot Tub made it a very romantic weeken. Andrea and her Team provided everything we needed/ asked for. Nothing was too much effort

Cosy & romantic

The hut was so cosy and had everything you need!! The hot tub was just amazing (probably spent like 10 hours in there over the 2 nights haha). And Andrea was helpful/friendly, and even laid out rose petals and chocolates for our honeymoon :) Shame about the weather as we didn't get to hangout in the lovely garden.

Only thing we struggled with was the size of the bed, but it was comfy!

Super relaxing retreat!! We made good use of the hot tub, BBQ and garden. Andrea and Neil were super lovely and friendly. In addition, they had an EV charger for our car which was so convenient!

Couldn’t have asked for a more magical engagement and stay!

We loved the retreat! It was 11/10! The garden was soooo spacious and beautiful and private. The hut its self was so cute and we loved all the quirky decor and lights. It had absolutely everything you could have needed. The outside hut with the hot tub was spectacular and the hot tub was amazing! Andrea made an amazing effort and helped all the way in making the engagement for my partner so so special. It was absolutely magical and we can’t wait to book again next year! Thank you for everything. P.S thankyou for our first engagement congratulations card! :)

A lovely weekend in the heart of Cornwall

The location is amazing. Total privacy, which is top of the list for us. It’s setting is second to none. With a huge amount of outdoor space. Great friendly cat. I usually don’t like cats but this guy knows how to work a crowd. Owners were lovely too.

It’s a bit tired to be honest with things like the hammock if not replaced then probably a good idea to remove. The hut shows sign of aging decor and finish. But very clean. Shame the lovely hot tub faces a slatted wooden wall when in the other direction the garden view is amazing.

A lovely stay in a peaceful location and well equipped shepherd’s hut. The hot tub was excellent.

Excellent communications and responses to feedback from host, very good directions given in advance. Easy check in, peaceful and quiet location and large garden with furniture and separate hot tub under covered gazebo. A very well thought out design with all facilities provided, and more eg. fridge, hob, microwave , toaster, kettle and coffee maker (with pods); bath robes, towels and outdoor shoes. Amazing use of small space. Fantastic shower, plenty of hot water. The modern hot tub was ready for us on arrival and was an excellent way to spend the evening relaxing. A very pleasant stay in this small but perfectly equipped hut and garden. Thank you.

The breakfast was a bit basic with pre packed croissants and waffles. Could be improved by healthier content such as fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh milk and perhaps eggs. But facilities provided meant we could prepare our own breakfast but bring your own provisions, there is no shop in the village.

A truly magical escape

The whole experience was exceptional and so well presented. We spent a couple of nights here for our wedding anniversary and Andrea had gone to the trouble of some decoration, a card and some bubbly for us which was such a lovely gesture. There is an awesome little book with instructions for your stay as well as lists for local walks, shops and places of interest etc. The hot tub was lovely and clean and dipped daily which we thoroughly enjoyed and we loved the fire pit too of an evening sat amongst the garden lights! The hut itself was stunning, laid out so well with everything you could possibly need and decorated beautifully I loved all the quirky and cute decorations! Lovely quiet location it felt like you were in your own little world there we thoroughly enjoyed the escape and cannot recommend it enough!

Not a lot of negatives about this place. However internet didnt really reach the hut but as soon as you went in the garden area you got connected again so it really wasn’t a problem.

Lovely peaceful location, extremely comfortable and well equipped they had thought of nearly everything.. Loved the cute little niceties such as ornamental lambs rabbits etc and the twee decor inside the beautiful shepherds hut.. And the beautiful ginger cat that visited us finished it off nicely

Beautiful and unique holiday

The property was immaculate. I've never seen anything so well done and it's such a unique experience rather than staying in a hotel.

The only downside was the wifi connection but we were out most of the time anyways so it didn't bother us too much. It was a very minor issue.

nice place, with an electric gate that opens at any time and very comfortable. very large and well-finished garden.

As I read in other comments, I stayed 3 nights and received breakfast only for one day. Wi-fi doesn’t work and if you are allergic to cats be careful because you will find a ginger one,jumps on the tables and also in the bungalow. Not a pleasant thing for me who is allergic. Bring breakfast from home

The location was great, close to a lot of pubs and take away. We wanted a nice quiet break and this was perfect. We both hadn't realised the breakfast was there straight away, it was delicious nevertheless.

There is no direct dislikes, some of the pillows were really hard. And the WiFi signal kept dropping out, but it gave us peace so it was a win in the end to be honest.

Private and peaceful. Beautifully furnished and clean! The hot tub was amazing and relaxing! Little touches like the sugar cubes and shoes for the garden and robes. Heated blanket was amazing was a very nice touch having that to stay cozy and warm. Could go on and on! Every little bit was amazing!

A real hidden gem . . Fantastic.

A flawless visit from start to finish. The location was easy to get to and parking was easy. The actual shepherd's hut was perfect, size was absolutely fine for a couple of people and the garden surrounding the hut was really beautiful and well maintained. Hot tub was lovely and it felt very private. You can tell the owners take pride in providing a wonderful experience for guests, loads of little nice touches in the accommodation to make it a relaxing experience. Top notch.

I was at the hut for work so the slightly unstable internet wasn't ideal. Saying that, most people will be visiting here to have a relaxing time so this shouldn't be an issue at all for most

Everything about the sunrise was absolutely stunning! Had everything you would possibly need. We had a fantastic stay, exactly what we hoped for and more. Very friendly owners! Well worth the 6 hours drive! Can’t wait to visit again!.
