It was so easy to be in the apartment, and the environment surrounding it was very pleasant. The patio is excellent for relaxing, and the house was well apportioned with towels, bread&spreads&juices&coffee for breakfast, and hygiene supplies. It was quiet and clean. It’s also on the same street as the beach area, Spiaggo del Gaola.
The owner, Gianmarco, is kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. He’s an excellent driver and will shuttle you from the airport for an additional fee (€50) in a comfortable van. His family lives in the house next to the apartment, and they were congenial. He will help you reserve beach spots by sending you the link.
It’s a solid uphill 17 minute walk to the bus station, and the sidewalk is all cracked up after the narrow cobblestone road, so it’s not easy to take bags to the bus. You’ll want a taxi to the airport or the train station. The bus also is hard to know the schedule of, so it’s not a quick thing to get into Posillipo proper or Naples central. It’s about a 45min bus ride to Naples central, not including walking time. Take bus 140 or C 31. The beach also gets reserved quickly and part of the beach is just a concrete platform fully shade after 1pm, so to get full sun, you need to be there early.
That being said, if you go to this location for the beach primarily, buy food for cooking at home at the shop just 12min away, and eat any meals/aperitivo/drinks out at the public square restaurants and cafes or the pub just up the hill, you will have a really sweet and lowkey time. It would be a perfect environment for people who just want to do everyday life elsewhere.

Hébergement tranquille loin de l’agitation du centre de Naples. De l’eau fraîche et jus de fruits nous attendaient à notre arrivée, ainsi qu’un panier comprenant plusieurs choses pour le petit déjeuner.
L’accès au logement par une petite route très pentue (mais ça le propriétaire n’y est pour rien 😁)

Casa carina e accogliente in una bella zona di Napoli. Proprietari gentili e disponibili.
Sicuramente difficile da raggiungere, anche con la macchina. Le indicazioni per arrivare non erano chiarissime. Pulizia un po’ scarsa, con formiche ovunque e perdite di acqua da tutte le fonti possibili. Impossibilità di accedere alla spiaggia della Gagliola, nemmeno prenotando allo scattare della mezzanotte, cosa che sicuramente non dipende dalla struttura, ma che rende il soggiorno in un posto così scomodo, inutile. Ci è stata indicata una spiaggia vicina, a loro dire bella uguale, che è risultata in una striscia di spiaggia davanti a un ecomostro, con gente poco raccomandabile e mare viscido. Per il prezzo pagato, complessivamente, non vale tanto la pena.
