Highgate Beach House - Great for family stays and contractors

Lovely, modern, and well-furnished 3-bedroom house, just a 15-minute walk from the shops, restaurants, pubs, and beach. The property has all the amenities you need for either a short break or a longer stay. The large smart TVs downstairs are great, and the rainfall shower upstairs is a lovely touch. Free parking is also a big bonus. Overall, it's deffo well worth a visit.

As a family holiday, this was most important for the children to have their own rooms. This was also a great location, 9 minutes walk to the beach ⛱️ The layout was great, a big spacious dining room, and a cozy lounge area. The kitchen was very modern and everything was there we needed for our stay. The house was a lovely place to stay for the weekend. It only had a few minor issues with decor which I have spoken about in the next section. Great communication from the hosts family regarding an issue with the toilet. This was resolved within a good time frame.

The noise from the neighbours was extremely rude. At 2am in the morning on the last night. When you have to check out for 10am. This wasn't very considerate. I had also read in the previous reviews this wasn't the first time from complaints around the neighbours. The downstairs toilet had an issue which was unfortunate, but this was resolved very quickly. The beds were quite hard to sleep on, the children also complained about this. The small room didn't really have any storage for your belongings. There were quite a few marks on the walls and surfaces. The chair in the front bedroom had stains on it. I felt the house needed a welcoming pack of instructions and how to guide, I didn't like the notes pinned up. Also a guide about Cleethorpes and maybe some brochures for what's around the area for families. The kitchen door may also need a blind as the fridge door got extremely hot from the sun reflecting through the window. The garden was a little basic, I understand it's low maintenance for dog friendly. But the garden furniture was a little worn and tatty. It wasn't very comfortable to sit out and enjoy the evening sun.

Modern, mostly clean and spacious.

No oven gloves. No shower mat in slippy bath. Supposed to be dog friendly, however there were loads of berries that are highly Poisonous to dogs all over the floor in the garden (Huge cherry laurel tree).
