base-Shanghai Pusan Serviced Apartment

I needed a place to stay a few days in Pudong and since I often use Base in Beijing, this seemed like a good choice. While not as new and modern as the two Base locations I stayed in in Beijing it ticked all the other boxes. A comfortable room with washing and kitchen, a comfortable rain shower and a comfortable bed. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Whenever I need to be in this district of Shanghai again I will definitely go back.

My only complaint is that the walls are a bit thin, so I woke up from other guests noise a few times. Another thing to keep in mind is that the metro is a 10-15 minute walk away. Not too bad, but it can be tiring if you have heavy luggage. In that case a Didi or taxi might be a better option than public transport. Also, be aware that it's away from the main tourist areas in Puxi. It takes about half an hour by metro to get to People's Square. For me that wasn't a problem though as I prefer to stay in slightly more quiet districts.
