About this house rental
Welcome to The Got-Away, a place where you can relax & renew. The Got-Away is a play on the phrase "the fish that Got Away". Since Tims Ford offers wonderful fishing opportunities, we thought the name would be perfect. We want our home to be a place where you can escape life's hassles with family & friends. Our Dad loved to fish, and many of the items in The Got-Away were his. As an Army/Coast Guard Veteran, the water was a second home to him. We hope it will be for you and your guests as well.

This house is STUNNING! Very well stocked the host thought of everything! House was very clean and felt like a home away from home! Very close to lake and about 20 minutes from multiple restaurants, grocery stores and shopping! The photos don’t do this place justice! Will definitely stay here again in the future the only thing to watch out for is if you have multiple older guest there is one room on the first floor but all of the other rooms have a bit of stairs! Thanks for having us!!

We had an amazing stay at this house. The property was clean, peaceful, and specious! The lake views were hidden by all of the beautiful trees, however the marina is a very short walk/go cart ride on a nicely paved trail. The screened in porch was lovely and relaxing at night. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to comfortable seating. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire space felt relaxing and well cared for.The host was responsive, friendly, and made check-in extremely easy with a personalized door code that we could easily remember. This was the perfect getaway for relaxing and spending quality time with family. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful lake retreat.
