About this apartment rental
With The Waterfront on your doorstep, your family or friends will have the best of both worlds. Our private beach and your own fire pit. Our dock to swim and fish from, and a public boat launch, docks and park next door to launch your boat or canoe. We are located on the Kameniskeg Lake/Madawaska River providing for 40 km of lock free boating or canoeing and fishing. You are walking distance from 3 Eateries, a small well equipped grocery store, LCBO and a beach front restaurant. The 300 sq ft+ deck overlooking the water adds to your outdoor living space. The suite has water views and walkouts from the main living area and the master bedroom (which has an en suite bath). Whitewater rafting, canoeing, hiking, cycling, boating and exploring, are ample in the area and in nearby Algonquin Park
Your Suite has 3 Glass sliding doors facing the lake which allow you to step out onto the deck and take in the view and fresh air. It also creates a very open and airy feeling and awesome view when you are inside.
For those guests joining us in the winter, we are located very close to OFSC Snowmobile trails. We are also located on a main road which means we are easily accessible all year round.
For The summer of 2023, we have added Central A/C for the utmost comfort on the occasional hot spell when the breeze isn't enough to cool off the evenings.
Being located on the waterfront, and in town, creates a lively atmosphere with lots going which adds to the excitement of your stay!

Very convenient/ideal location. Right on the water on one side, and across the street from an excellent general store for all our needs. Town is cute and nice for walking around. Wonderful bookstore in town. Town Park with a beach.
Cottage had all we needed for a great stay. Has its own dock and is near the public boat ramp, so next time think we will bring our jetski.

Beautiful location, next to convenience store and ice cream.
Walking distance to a nice waterfront restaurant.
Breathtaking view.
Despite of being next to a main rd, it is surprisingly quiet.
If you owe a boat, the public ramp is next to the property with docking capability. Very convenient.
Overall, it was a very good experience.

Overall we had a great stay at the combermere property. Goran was great to deal with, he responded quikly to all questions and was very informatiive. The property was cozy yet spacious inside, and really nice outside as well. We enjoyed sitting on the dock, and swimming. The water was really nice and clean on the madawaska river which was nice. We went with just me and my girlfriend, but could have definately brought our kids and still had comfortable space in the living area. All in all we would for sure come back again! A side note, if youre looking for boat rentals in the area Highlands Outfitters was amazing, fred and ivon were absolutely amazing people to deal with.
