About this house rental
The municipality of Tysnes is a group of islands south of Bergen. Tysnes has for over a hundred years been one of the most popular vacation spots in the southwest of Norway. This can be contributed to its wonderful nature and clean environment. The coastline includes many well hidden places including inlets and islands with beaches and good fishing places. Varied vegetation, hilly terrain, mountains, water, woods and long seashores give a foundation for rich animal and bird life. One can enjoy plentiful fishing (both in the fjord and area lakes), sheltered swimming places, and abundant hiking. Views from mountain plateaus and altitudes that exceed 750 meters include the glacier "Folgefonna" in the east, and all the beautiful islands out in the great ocean to the south and west.
This very special holiday home enjoys panoramic views of the water from the wrap around deck, outdoor space includes two relaxing seating areas, dining table with seating for up to 10 and weber gas grill.
The modern interior enjoys expansive windows from the living area providing views of the water in all directions. Chef's kitchen is fully equipped. Dining area with sitting for up to 8. Both living and TV seating areas plus a separate den/office with sleep sofa.
Master bedroom has private ensuite bathroom as well as direct access to the deck, 180 cm / king bed. Second bedroom has a 160 cm / queen bed. Third bedroom with bunk bed, bottom 120 cm / full, top 75 cm single. Second full bathroom just outside the two bedrooms. Sleep sofa as previously mentioned in the den/office.
Small boat with outboard engine (15 feet, 10 HP engine) optionally available for additional Euro 200 for up to a week (prorated for stays longer than a week), guests wishing to use boat must notify in advance, are responsible for returning the boat with a full tank of gas, and are responsible for any damages.
TV with cable as well as streaming. Fast, reliable internet (up to100Mbs). Laundry (washer and dryer). Second freezer.

We loved this place! Having at one time owned a family summer home in Tysnes and renting a few nice homes after we sold our home in 1991, this place was by far the nicest. Fully equiped kitchen for a summer home, comfortable beds in the three bedrooms and great wifi and online TV channels (not that we watched much if any TV in this beautiful place), two huge bathrooms and laundry room. And the outside deck...a morning view that is just stunning. Each morning I would just sit outside with a cup of coffee and inhale the lovely view of the Bjoune Fjord. I was actually hesitant to give such a good review as we dont want it to be booked-up if we return in a year or two ;) The host Tone was amazing and myself and my whole family can't thank her enough for the wonderful time we all had at her home in Tysnes. It even comes with a great little 14 foot 10hp motorboat that we took out a few times for some fishing. My wife and I travel often and have rented many summer and winter ski homes, this one is at the top of the list. We will be back!
