About this house rental
Minutes from the front door are many hiking trails, tidal pools for snorkeling and swimming, a secluded beach at Crocodile Cove, as well as the the marine geyser and local market in the town of La Bufadora. You can even book a gastro-wine tour of the Guadalupe Wine Valley which is just an hour away or go dancing in downtown Ensenada which is 45 minutes away.
The properties at Baja Off the Grid are 100% solar powered and self contained with their own water and gas on site. We do have a back up propane generator for those cloudy days. That being said, our resources are precious and limited so we ask that all of our guests be mindful and conserve when possible. This entails: shorter showers, unplugging devices at night, flushing less, and connecting to our beautiful natural surroundings.
There are 3 properties at Baja Off the Grid. El Rancho Del Mar (listing #1102341), El Castillo Del Mar (listing #848729), and La Casa Del Mar (lsiting #1089684). Each property has its own PRIVATE entrance, balcony/deck, kitchen, and living/sleeping areas. The properties can be rented separately or together depending on group size and availability. We can accommodate groups as large as 32.

This was an absolute gem, im so glad i found this place, i took a short 3 days trip here and loved it. Its secluded, beautiful, quite, just the perfect get away from the hustl and bustle of the city for us nature lovers. The night sky is sprinkled with stars as the moon acts as a lap to everything, you cant beat the views and the hospitality of the manager. While your down there book a kayak or paddle board trip with him too. Guys im coming back here with friends next time.

Igor has a little piece of paradise and getting to stay there was a dream. My girlfriend and I went down there for a long weekend from San Diego. The drive is short - took us about 3 hrs door to door. And we arrived at night. It was a bit tricky - we missed a turn but Igor's directions were great and we quickly turned around and got back on track.
The place its self is just stunning. Situated on a cliff overlooking the pacific, you gaze down on tide pools that team with shellfish, crabs, sea anemone, and neon blue ocean water. The climb down to the pools requires good shoes and a bit of climbing on rocks but the pools are gorgeous. Perfect for swimming and taking photos that will make the world jealous of your perfect vacation.
My two notes would be that (1) the place is a bit far from shops so you might want to consider bringing most of what you'll need (unless you want to go drive and explore) so that if you want to not have to drive you can just stay put and (2) that the water in the showers was not very warm. It didn't bother me much but my girlfriend determined that her ocean swims counted.
Igor's communication was great and his instructions were wonderful. We are already looking forward to another trip down as soon as possible.

Igor took wonderful care of us! His home is very clean, new, and well-maintained, and the area is breathtaking! This is a place where you can get away from the hustle of city life and avoid the American tourists. My wife and I brought our three little girls and they loved it! Every morning we would get up and look out at the ocean from our balcony and see sea lions and dolphins. We went on hikes to private beaches, road horses on the beach for very little money, visited local wine vineyards, and ate delicious food! Ensenada is not too far away, and it has all the conveniences of an American city, so although the home is quiet and fairly remote, anything you might need is a short drive away.
This is off the grid living, so those who NEED long, hot showers and microwaves should look elsewhere. We were not used to conserving water and energy, but it really wasn't difficult for us or our kids. There is a full kitchen, just not a microwave, so we used the stove and oven. You can have hot showers, just not long, hot showers, which is fine because the weather is warm all the time. I would not be discouraged by the GLAMPING label because it really is comfortable. My wife and I live in the city with three daughters ages 6, 4, and 2, and we are used to all the modern conveniences. We don't camp with our kids, and we like to be clean, but it was easy for us to make some small changes and embrace the lifestyle. Igor took great care of us, and we didn't want to leave!

This would be a great place for a brief stay for travelers looking for an economical place to crash while exploring Ensenada during the day. The Dome did not precisely fit our needs as we were looking for home to relax and enjoy the view. The Dome does is not oceanfront and only has an ocean "peek" from the small deck, however, it is steps away from great views (bring your own chairs). It is small and not very comfortable for lounging, but rather a unique and perfect alternative to a campsite. You must climb a steep ladder to access the deck and bed and will need to bring lanterns/flashlights as the Dome is very dark after sunset. I would recommend this home only as an alternative to camping and not as a traditional vacation home.
