In Old Town With Pool

Firstly, communication with Natalie was excellent. The booklets are very helpful. The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes walk from the old town centre. There is air conditioning in every room, so when you spend time in the gorgeous garden you can pop in to cool off, or of course take a dip in the pool. There were some essentials left in the kitchen and bathrooms. Beach towels can be rented from Natalie. There's a washing machine. The Porta Nova train station is closeby which links you to Faro, and the coast. We were very happy and would love to return.

Absolutely nothing. Note that all of the houses on these lovely old streets have narrow paths, so take a look outside before stepping out of the front door to make sure that a van is not driving past at the time. Its a tight squeeze.

The house was beautifully finished, and the hosts had thought of everything. They gave clear instructions, and a wonderful guide to Tavira and the surrounding area. The house is only a short walk from the centre of the town, and close to some lovely restaurants. The garden and pool area was immaculate.

This beautifully renovated property sits on a quiet road, just three minutes walk from a vibrant pretty town square with a good choice of restaurants. The standard of renovation is very high, with excellently appointed bathrooms and kitchen. It was exceptionally clean and had plenty of glasses, crockery etc. The lovely owner, kindly talked us through all the house amenities and provided the most comprehensive guide and reference folders that we’ve ever had in a rental property! Most excellent! The little garden was a bonus and my friends enjoyed the pool. It was a little too chilly for me! The location in Tavira was perfect and it was just a five minute walk to the Roman Bridge and all the delightful shops and sites of interest. We particularly loved our days at the beach, on the ferry and inexpensive water taxi’s. The sand is stunning and there’s a wonderful beach club serving the most delicious fish dishes. We stayed in mid May and there were four adults. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed sun downers on the little west facing balcony. A perfect end to a day filled of walking round the pretty cobbled streets or beach combing, but there was only two chairs, for four of us. Not the end of the world, as we took out the lounge chairs, but it’s the only negative thing I can think off. We liked everything!
