Sea Feeling Apartment in Tavira by LovelyStay

Em termos de isolamento sonoro não é muito bom! Ouve-se muito o ruído da rua!

The apartment was extremely well equipped and spacious. The location was exactly what we were looking for. Parking was easy. Everywhere was very clean and tidy.

The bedroom window could not be fastened shut allowing outside noise is during the night. The lounge external shutter stop was not fixed to the shutter alloying the shutter to be raised too far to be lowered again. The bath/shower was very slippery.

The flat overall is a good size. The location is near the river front.

We didn't receive instructions into how to get into the flat. So we had to wait outside and phone the company who then gave us details. Making the check in process an unpleasant process from the start. The most challenging aspect was the smell from the bathroom. It was sewage smell and it could be smelt throughout the flat. I had read about this on previous reviews but assumed it would have been dealt with by now. We contacted LovelyStay, they told us there was nothing they could do. They told us to use air freshener sprays. We then contacted Booking.com who clearly got in touch with the company and at which point Lovelystay managed to send out 2 plumbers to clear out the drainage system in the bathroom. All this took a lot of time on the first day of our holidays. Having to deal with LovelyStay, Booking.com and the plumbers more or less took up the whole day. We were really disappointed with the attitude from LovelyStay, although they did finally send out the plumbers there was no apology from them. Booking.com tried to do their best to sort it out with them. Be aware, the flat may seem cheaper, although it worked out at £75 a night, but then we had a lot of hassle to deal with. It's such a shame because the flat is a good size and in a decent location. The kitchen is a good size and the sheets and linen are all cotton and fresh. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by the attitude of LovelyStay and smell of the place. After the drainage had been cleared by the plumbers we noticed the smell had returned after 2 days. We only stayed 3 nights. I would think twice about booking this place unless you read reviews which state the smell has definitely gone!
