La maison est très bien équipée. La communication avec le loueur est facile et tout est pensé pour faciliter votre séjour. Le jardin est très joli, les sentiers et plages à proximité sont magnifiques. La vue depuis le séjour est très belle et l’espace extérieur est bien ombragé, c’est parfait pour passer de bons moments en famille. Il y a beaucoup d’articles de plage à disposition dans le garage.
J’ai passé un très bon séjour, même si l’isolation phonique avec le voisin du dessus n’est pas terrible.

My family really enjoyed our stay at your villa. The location was beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had most everything that you needed for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. My parents and sister stayed in another villa and ours was furnished with better amenities. Our sunset view off the porch was gorgeous. We appreciated the ceiling fans and the outdoor bbq patio. The pool was always empty and a refreshing break from the ocean. My wife and I loved the proximity to the trails and enjoyed not having to get into our car to get around. The grounds were immaculate, well manicures and well thought out design - a tropical oasis. Having access to the beach club was a bonus and my daughter loved soaking in the Sun and ocean. I would definitely comeback and would choose your corner unit over others.
I would say my only comment would be that the water pressure in the showers was lacking and the temperature of the hot water heater was too low. We like warmer showers and it was hard to properly wash dishes with lower temperature water.

This review is titled "A Tale of Two Rental Units".
I'm giving this rental 5 stars out of 10 because 5 is the average of say, "8 + 2", or "7 + 3". These numbers are here to illustrate the good and the bad aspects of this unit.
The TLDR version of this is that I believe I was mislead via false advertising on the part of the rental unit owner. The listing specifically says "Quiet" in the title (which made the rental very attractive to me during my search).
The title of the listing is "Mauna Lani Palm Villas D-2 Quiet Unit Historic View".
Now, I've rented places from booking.com before: in Japan, and Paris, and Geneva, and so I'm quite familiar with search on the site. I spent a *ton* of time looking for my Hawaii rental, and was excited that I had found the right one.
We knew something was awry the very 1st night. I was awoken a couple of times by kids running across the floor (our ceiling) of the unit above us. Once was in the middle of the night, and once was at 6am.
From there, it just got worse.
My kids and I were awoken EVERY NIGHT, MULTIPLE TIMES. Disturbances included, but were not limited to:
1. the kids running around.
2. the scraping of furniture being moved (yes, late at night).
3. the toilet being flushed
4. "bathroom noises" (which I'll leave it at that)
5. one kid crying in the middle of the night
6. someone with a deep/bronchial cough
We never heard anyone speaking... except when they were outside on the deck - then we heard them loud and clear.
Now, I understand that "kids do what they do", and it's good to let them have fun - but this was ridiculous.
My own kids and I would come home after dinner and would arrive to what sounded like a Disneyland Resort room .. and that's fine .. that's letting the kids be kids.
But the problem is, in the middle of the night: that's just bullshit.
That's not "kids being kids" ..
