We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is in a great location - we visited family in New Albany and went to Churchill Downs. Both areas were just a quick drive away. The house is near many restaurants and stores. The neighborhood felt safe and the rental was clean and modern. The host communication was excellent. We had an issue with an appliance and it was repaired that same day and the host generously offered a refund to cover any inconveniences. I also appreciate that a cleaning fee was not charged. Highly recommend!

The home was as pictured. In a nice residential neighborhood. It fit our family of five perfectly! We enjoyed watching movies, cooking our own meals, hitting around a volleyball in the driveway, a nice long walk and having a washer & dryer. We were here for a volleyball tournament in Louisville.

This is not for someone that has issues with steps. Stairs ate very steep. #2 bedroom does not have 2 twin beds as listed but a trundle bed. Not appropriate for an adult. All mattresses were uncomfortable. The hall bathroom tub doesnt drain pproperly.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament. We wanted a clean space, with plenty of seating & comfortable beds to rest. Haystack Haven delivered on all of these! We all agreed, the beds were outstanding. The sectional couch had enough room for the dads of the group to catch their afternoon nap. We appreciated the washer & dryer with detergent to wash uniforms & socks. Great communication, great location. We will stay again!

The home was exactly as described. Very cute inspirational messages everywhere which was perfect for a girls weekend. The hostess was responsive and answered my questions timely. Unfortunately I had an issue with the app which made communicating a little bit difficult, but as far as the host and the actual home, it was perfect.

We stayed here for a Festival in Louisville. It was a great location. Neighborhood felt safe and was nice and quiet. Driveway parking is always a plus. It met all our needs. Tiffany, the owner, was very accomodating. She was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great neighborhood with fantastic proximity to the river area. The check in process was super easy and the owner was easy to communicate with and flexible with our needs. Perfect for a short stay for our family of 5.

We had a great time at the house. SO many little things make this a 5 star place to stay. The owner left us a great little tray of snacks and was terrific at communicating. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Everything we could have hoped for, even had detergent to use for our laundry. Will stay again when and if we return to Louisville.

Positives: -plenty of room for 6 -close to the strip of shops and restaurants -kept us warm and dry -adequate(ish) for a few days' stay Needs Improvement: -charge the extra money for a proper cleaning: bathroom toilets had ring around the water and mold, hair in the tub, very dusty, felt a bit unkempt -listing states no dogs, but there are clearly dogs around: 2 massive dog harnesses and a crate in the closets, dog leash on the tree outside. We found this to be a bit of a double standard and oxymoron against the listing -yard not kept well, grass really long and in need of some landscaping -appliances not very clean -microwave unusable as it was melted on the inside. We just unplugged for safety concerns. -house cabinets and closets filled with SO much random stuff that it made it feel like more like a storage area than home -locked garage and 4th bedroom with a "keep out" sign was creepy and unwelcoming. Hopefully some of these improvements will be taken to heart. A few minor tweaks here and there and we believe this could be a 4-5 star listing vs. a 2-3 star as it currently is.
