Beautiful cabin, unfortunately there was no lake as described.

The Good:The cabin was easily accessible and clean. The air quality inside was good (Sometimes rental places can be damp or stuffy and this place was not.) The living area / kitchen was really nicely decorated and well kept. Access through keyless entry was very simple. Although we didn't use or need them, there were several stand-alone appliances and dishes sufficient for cooking simple meals. The cabin is within 15 minutes of towns in several directions (Demorest, Cornelia, Helen and Cleveland). There was cable and wi-fi. Would be great for two people. Booking and receiving check-in information was excellent. The Not So Good:The master bed was extremely firm. Some may prefer that, but I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Bedrooms are pretty cramped for two people (my husband and me). My daughter slept on the futon and has bruises on her hip from it where the bar pressed into her side while sleeping. So, while the cabin was clean, well kept, easily accessible, cost friendly, and sufficient for our needs for the weekend, the beds would be a deal breaker for ever booking again or suggesting to others. Suggestions: GPS (Google Maps, Mapquest, nor whatever is built into my husband's truck) does not take you to the exact location. You have to go on up the hill a little ways. Also, we were in a truck so not a big deal, but the driveway might be tough for some smaller cars to maneuver. The Sautee Trail Cafe is just five minutes away for excellent home-style breakfast.

Will definitely be staying here again! Was perfect for my husband and I. I was able to get my school work done in the other room while he cooked. Quiet and clean which is exactly what I was looking for.
Also there is a little one burner cooktop, and a crockpot.

“Private Fishing Lake” was an inaccurate way to describe what we found upon arriving for our stay at this property. We followed the lone arrow pointing down the steep wooded ridge towards the “lake” and found a muddy puddle, to say the least, about 100 yards down through the woods with no trail. There was no feasible way to access what water was still visible without sinking in the mud. The house itself has the amenities as described but the cleanliness was lacking, as well. The queen bed does not have a mattress, just a mattress pad atop a box spring. We chose this house for the private fishing lake as offered and we were disappointed to say the least. The property has potential but did not match what was described. A disclaimer should be added about water levels and that you should pack your hiking boots for the trek to the muddy puddle. A cheap hotel offers the same experience as our stay here.
