About this house rental
The Eagle's Nest is a second floor home located on a private 1.4 acre lot with ocean access and a new 3 float dock shared with 3 neighbors on Northwest Cove, Bar Harbor. It is a short walk to the ocean for amazing kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming or to watch the sun set on the dock. Rarely another person in sight. It is a wooded lot with extensive wildlife within view of a 20' deck with retractable awning and fire pit. Very relaxing place to stay and a short distance to local restaurants and brewery (1.6 miles) and downtown Bar Harbor (15 minutes). Acadia National Park points of interest, such as Canoe and Kayak Rentals on Long Lake, are just a few miles away.
The space: 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and large open kitchen-living room area that was recently remodeled, with fold-out couch and second couch and 3 new heat pumps/cooling for your comfort. Glass sliding doors to 20' deck with retractable awning, love seat, coffee table and comfortable patio chairs to relax rain or shine. Laundry room on first floor with second refrigerator near fire pit and BBQ (Remainder of first floor reserved for owner storage).
Guest access:Private parking in large circular driveway.
Other things to note:Must bring your own kayaks/paddle boards/life jackets and must carry them to the ocean, as parking on the private Northwest Cove Road is not allowed and motorized vehicles are not allowed on the 20' ocean path from cul-de-sac to ocean and 3 float dock. Security cameras with audio located outside/not in second floor living space.

Great, cozy spot for our family of 4! Loved being in the woods and outside of the hustle from Bar Harbor, but loved that it was a quick drive into Bar Harbor when we wanted!

We loved the Eagles Nest home. Our visit was planned around seeing Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. The location was great and offered us a quiet place to enjoy family time. There are many nearby Lobster Pounds and restaurants. Really, so much to do! The home was very clean and has everything you need, plus seamless check in and check out. The road is private, quiet, safe, and we also enjoyed the private dock and beach. As a bonus, can confirm there are mackerel and striper in the cove!
