Quiet courtyard house surrounded by the park and woods of Chantilly with an attentive host.

Eric Vachet was an attentive host; even though our paths never crossed he went the extra mile to ensure that I could get in to the property despite arriving three hours late into the night (thanks to air traffic controla) with clear directions of where to find keys etc. A family house with a tall attic under the 18th century roof and a bathroom next door.

Having to leave. Chantilly is a find and it is only 1 euro on the bus to Senlis and 1 euro from Senlis to CDG during the daytine (or 70 euros by taxi)

Location. Host was considerate and generous. Quiet, overlooking a garden.

This is a bedroom in somebody's house, you share their, or somebody's, bathroom. You walk through their space when they're hanging out. Their stuff is in the bathroom. That wasn't clear from the listing. The bedroom was not clean, dust bunnies and hair on the floor and furnishings.

It's not safe, sister.

Price

The owner keeps unacceptably long eye contact with me, although we were the couple. There were drops of blood on the toilet. The towels smell musty. Shabby bed linen. An old door lock. I felt no safe. It takes an hour to understand that it’s better to leave.

La literie : matelas mou, fortement déconseillé pour le mal de dos La salle de bain : l'hôte nous a prêté 2 serviettes puantes et très faible debit de la douchette Cet hôte nous a réclamé en arrivant, en espèces 3 € pour les taxes de séjour alors que mon fils est mineur et exonéré.. Cette taxe aurait dû être présente sur la facture ce qui n' était pas le cas !! Bref, j'appelle ça du racket ! Bruit : n'en parlons pas ! Une personne en chaussure talon marchait à 7h00 du matin au dessus de nous qui nous a réveillé. Je vous déconseille cet hôte

Goed gelegen voor bezoek aan kasteel van Chantilly

De accommodatie heeft geen ontbijtfaciliteiten; wel is er koffie en thee op de kamers. Bij een bakker om de hoek kun je dan een broodje halen. Locatie prima voor bezoek aan het kasteel van Chantilly (10 min lopen) en niet te ver van het station (20 min lopen).

Sleuteloverdracht bij aankomst had wat beter gecommuniceerd kunnen worden.

Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding, goede locatie, met vriendelijke en goed engels sprekende gastheer

De kamer is op een uitstekende locatie, rustig gelegen op een binnenplaats dichtbij chateau de Chantilly en op loopafstand (20 min) vanaf het station. Vlakbij zijn prima restaurants, een bakker en andere winkels. De gastheer was zeer vriendelijk een gastvrij. Ook een echt pluspunt is dat de gastheer zeer goed Engels spreekt.

De koffie/thee voorziening was sober. Er was een waterkoker waarmee een kopje thee kan worden gezet, maar voor de koffie was er enkel oploskoffie.

Du potentiel, mais en l'état actuel je trouve que ça ne vaut pas ce que j'ai payé à Booking.com.

Emplacement très bien. L'hôte , une fois rencontré, est très agréable. La maison pourrait étre belle . Grande salle d'eau privative.

La vue sur jardin est inexistante depuis les velux du deuxième étage. On est très enfermé, d'autant plus que la maison est en angle dans la cour. Les jardins sont encombrés de petits dépôts devant et pas bien soignés derrière. Le lit simple est mal placé (poutre, coin de table) et le matelas est en mousse et ne tient pas en place. Des fils électriques, scotchés, quand même, près d'une poubelle métallique dans la salle d'eau. Alors qu'il m'est demandé de ne pas rayer le mur en montant mon bagage ... Pas de siège en bas de l'escalier pour se déchausser et rechausser alors qu'il m'est demandé de me déchausser...Je me retrouve en chaussettes sur un vieil escalier plein de cachet mais en bois usé et donc glissant. La clé de la porte de chambre ne fonctionne pas de l'intérieur.

Günstige Unterkunft, völlig in Ordnung!

Tolle, ruhige Lage, externes Bad gleich nebenan für uns alleine, Fahrräder sicher im Vorgarten, Check-In war auch früher möglich. Bei Temperaturen über 30 Grad war es natürlich nicht kühl unter dem Dach, der nette, sehr unkomplizierte Besitzer hatte aber vorher alles abgedunkelt, auch der Ventilator war hilfreich. Für den wirklich günstigen Preis wunderbar!

Unerträglich heißes Zimmer und eine schlaflose Nacht!

Die Lage ist tatsächlich, wie angegeben, ideal für einen Besuch in Chantilly; da das Gebäude nicht direkt an der Straße liegt ist es auch ruhig.

Das Haus / die private Wohnung, die man teilweise als Gast mit den Gastgebern teilte war völlig unaufgeräumt; obwohl wir bereits unten an der Treppe aufgefordert wurden die Schuhe auszuziehen, war der Boden nicht wirklich sauber. Vor allem das Dreibettzimmer liegt unter dem Dach und war scheinbar nicht gelüftet; die Luft war so drückend und heiß, das ein längerer Aufenthalt in dem Zimmer zunächst gar nicht möglich war. Handtücher und Bettwäsche rochen muffig und feucht, als Sitzmöbel gab es in einem Zimmer ausrangierte Autositze. In der Dusche war Schimmel, auch das Waschbecken war nicht wirklich sauber. Obwohl es für die Gäste eine Nachtruheaufforderung ab 22h gab, hielten sich die Gastgeber selbst nicht daran und schauten länger fern - es ist auch etwas störend immer die Tritte auf den Holztreppen zu hören.

J'aurais préféré que le lit ait des draps en plus de la couette, car la couette c'est toujours trop chaud, surtout quand la saison chaude s'annonce, mais si on l'enlève sans draps ce n'est plus confortable

Bof!

Plusieurs paires de chaussures trainent dans l'entrée du propriétaire. Nous avons une vue sur ses espaces privés, en arrivant, pas très reluisants. Eric nous demande d'enlever nos chaussures pour rejoindre notre chambre. L'escalier, sans chaussures et à la descente est très glissant. La chambre, au niveau des tables de chevets est plutôt poussiéreuse. Les volets de la chambre laissent passer grandement la lumière du jour, pas de rideau opaque pour régler cela. L'espace salle de bain et wc se trouve à un autre étage et il faut le partager. Dans la salle de bain, des fils électriques sortent d'un mur, très dangereux!

Bien qu'à 2 pas du château de Chantilly, la prestation est plus que médiocre.

Endroit très agréable calme, proche du château et de l'hippodrome. Nous n'avons pas eu besoin de prendre notre voiture. Bien situé, proche de tous commerces et du centre ville. Nous avons apprécié le bon accueil et la gentillesse de notre hôte.

De locatie en de vriendelijke, aangename host. De niet te warme temperatuur in de slaapkamer vooral ‘s nachts. Bij aankomst nl behagelijk.
