The house was very well set up

Loved the home, security constantly going around, felt very safe, neighbors(people) polite. Enjoyed the space with the family and hot tub. Everyone was comfortable.
Didn’t like minor things such as the coffee maker being dirty, toilet seat loose, there was still a few confetti pieces and a photo from previous renters on the floor.

The location and facilities were perfect for me and my family. We were able to take the kids swimming and fishing(we did catch a lot of fish!) at the lakes which were within walking distance or a very short drive away. It was really special to me to be able to take my father, who is 71, to an easy to fish place where he was able to catch some nice trout!
Locust Lake Village has many community events and on our first night they had a movie on the beach evening that was very nice. We felt very safe here walking with the low speed limits that are monitored, they have friendly security that patrols regularly. The property itself was very clean and cozy for the 7 of us(2 adults, 2 seniors, 3 children). There was a fire ban going on during this time so we did not have a campfire but we did not miss it. The fireplace indoors is quite warm and comfortable. Lots of fun things to do nearby, we recommend a 40 minute trip to the town of Jim Thorpe for a train ride in the Lehigh Gorge or a 1 hour drive to Knoebels Amusement Park which was a TON of fun for us. We did not see any bears but saw many deer in the area. The deer are not skittish and get quite close which my kids loved!! The property owner was very helpful, answered all of my questions and was easy to contact. We really loved this place and it will be a part of our vacation memories forever. We do hope and plan to return here, maybe as early as this fall to see the leaves change colors!
There really wasn't much to complain about. We had pretty much everything we needed for 5 nights of enjoyment. I would have liked to take the family on a rowboat or canoe. I think they rent those in the community during July and August though. If you could bring a golf cart for your trip, that would be fun to drive around on.
