Location: Very accessible by Public Transport. Bus number 11 from the city center. Costs only 40 lek (0.4 Euro). The property is closer to the airport by cab. Cab costs 20 Euros to Airport from the property. Is walkable distance from the rope car station in a quiet residential area. Host: Very friendly and a hospitable host who goes out of his way to make the stay pleasant. He hosts breakfast which he prepares himself. When we skipped breakfast he insisted that we join him for lunch or dinner which we could not. Since we had to leave 5 am on the last day, he packed breakfast the previous night and handed it over to us in person. I have never seen a host who goes this length to satisfy guest's needs, at his age. Gave a true feel of Albanian warmth and hospitality. They value human interactions, food and bonding and do not strictly go by the value of money.

I know I should not complain much, given the price point, but hygiene factors cannot be ignored at any price point. 1. Cleanliness: The property has deteriorated over the years and many essential hygiene factors are lacking. The bathroom door doesn't close properly. The toilet doesn't flush well and that is a dealbreaker. There were 4 guys who stayed in the other room who left the toilet in a complete mess and that ruined an entire day for me. A toilet brush which should have been there was conspicuous by its absence. 2. Room/House Keys pick up and drop communication: The entire process is person-dependent. The host in spite of his best intentions has a communication problem. His English is incomprehensible and that makes it extremely difficult. The keys had to be picked up in person and he insisted on meeting in-person to instruct the procedure for leaving the keys. I feel bad leaving negative comments, but my intention is to better the staying experience for future travelers, hoping this feedback will be read and acted upon. For a solo traveler or for a bunch of easy going guys, this is good enough or more than good enough at this price point. But not otherwise.

The host was very friendly and accommodating. We could always reach out to him, and he gave us good tips for activities in the area. The homemade breakfast was very authentic and fresh.
