I stayed at this property for one week with some friends outside of the sleepy mango farming community of Bani in a Dominican Republic. For those looking for a beautiful, quiet, well-maintained, safe, relaxing, real slice of Dominican life outsider the major cities but still not too far from the action -- I highly recommend the properties in this Cala Linda community. The owner Helmuth lives in Germany but the manager Christine is on the property and she and her husband were extremely responsive to our inquires and needs. Christine also runs a restaurant on the property and provides delicious meal service three times a day. If you're the type that looks for a resort or a sanitized corporatized getaway, this probably is not for you. However, if you like to stay a little off the beaten path in a safe, well-maintained beautiful local community, then this might be for you. I recommend a stay at this or one of the other charming villas in the Cala Linda community. I will definitely return soon.
