About this chalet rental
Private parking area with a beautiful covered lighted walking bridge that leads you to the Red Dog Chalet. A beautiful couples getaway with a spiral staircase leading you to the 2nd story covered porch areas with a wraparound walking deck. A 2nd story outdoor hammock off the covered porch. Relax in the 2 person copper tub and get some rest in the loft bedroom.
Relax underneath in the beautiful large bed swing or in the 2 person hot tub. Private outdoor shower underneath as well.
Enjoy the large 12x12 outdoor hammock in the front yard area and build a fire in the large outdoor firepit area.
If you are going to enjoy riding the trails, you are half mile from the Buffalo Mountain trailhead location and 4 miles from downtown Williamson for dinner. Within those 4 miles, there are 3 other trail numbers you will pass and another in town.
You are 15 minutes away from the historic Matewan, WV where the famous Hatfield McCoy feud took place. There is a Hatfield McCoy museum in town as well. While your there, enjoy the airboat tour on the river which is amazing then grab lunch or dinner at Trailhead Bar & Grill.

The chalet was charming and cozy, clean and well stocked with essentials. The host was extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. The trail is just up the road and so convenient to the chalet. We had an amazing time!

We had a great getaway at The Red Dog Chalet! The house was wonderfully cozy, clean, and prefectly decorated. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We would recommend to any of our friends and would love to come back again!

The Check-in process was a breeze the owners were a delight Extremely clean and great location.
However in the elevated cottage the bed it's approximately 10 feet up from the main floor which involves climbing a ladder and if you need the restroom it's a 10 foot climb down in the dark my wife rolled her ankle coming down the latter and we had to leave early Only other thing wish to shower was in the unit itself otherwise very nice place
