Luxury detached 4 bed w/ cinema room, gym, office - 20 mins from central London

As a family of 4 we stayed for a week over Christmas. The house was perfect and decorated beautifully for Christmas. The huge open plan kitchen and living area was perfect for hosting friends and family and the snug with the projector was a big hit with the kids watching xmas films, and my husband watching football and boxing! The location is great, just a 5 minutes walk into Chalfont St Peter Village. The house was a little tricky to find the first time as it's on an unamed lane, but once we found it we could direct our guests to it easily.4 lovely big double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 downstairs WC. The garden was also lovely and would be well enjoyed in the summer.The host was very helpful and happy to put out extra beds for the one night we had family stay over.I would recommend this house and will definitely look to stay agin the next time we visit the UK.

Enjoyed the house

It started when I contacted the host for directions and was advised that the property was located opposite the tire store. This seemed odd for a luxury home, but I thought it may be in the vicinity. To my surprise you shared the driveway with a large tire shop, whose driveway is full of used tires. There was noise from the shop seven days a week and views from the shop from many of the windows. The beds were advertised as king whilst they were actually queen. The linens , duvets and pillows were old and peeling, hardly luxury. The on-suit sink was tiny barely usable. The closet hangers were a mismatch of old wire hangers. The dishwasher is located in the laundry room which we were not aware of and took severely days before we located it. The same can be said about kitchen electrical outlets, which are located under the upper cabinets. This should be in the notes to the renters. There appears to be several water leaks, we noticed a leak from the refrigerator but also noticed several of the floor boards throughout the lower floor were damp, causing the house to be musty. Parking is quite difficult for one car let alone three that was stated. The property is located just of the highway not in a secluded neighbourhood as the pictures imply. Overall as a luxury rental it gets a C-
