Ludington House, Historic CT Shoreline Mansion filled with luxury and antiques

We had the most wonderful time in Old Lyme! Holly and Berry are the most gracious and welcoming hosts, and their home was absolutely perfect for our family reunion of 18, including seven young children.With such a large group, we were a little worried we'd all be on top of one another, but it was quite the opposite. They set the beautiful dining room table for all of us, and The house is so thoughtfully laid out that each family had their own space—including their own bathroom—while still allowing us to gather together under one roof. That balance is what made the weekend feel so special. The kids absolutely loved running around and playing in the beautiful yard, and we made so many wonderful memories together. We’re already talking about next year's trip and can't wait to come back. Thank you, Holly and Berry, for sharing your beautiful home with us and for making us feel so welcome!

We had a family reunion at Ludington House and could not have found a better site. When we got to the house, the host's husband met us and took the time to show us every feature of the house, including every climate control and every lighting control (sometimes these things are hard to find in a house as large as this one). The house was incredibly well stocked with dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, towels, soaps, shampoos, detergents and the like. When we got to the house, the dining room was completely set for our large family dinner and looked absolutely gorgeous. We felt like we had been invited to a state dinner. The grounds are beautiful and well appointed with outdoor furniture, barbecue, etc. There was a large outdoor portico area under which we could all sit while it briefly rained. The house itself had lots to keep all ages occupied; the pool table on the top floor was a big hit. All in all, we had a lovely few days at Ludington House and highly recommend it for an extended family gathering such as ours.

Everything about this home was amazing! Holly was quick to answer messages I had before arrival and smiling when we arrived to check in. The home is fully stocked and spotless. We enjoyed the furniture and architecture old homes offer. The covered patios were a bonus on one rainy day and the yard was spacious and beautiful. Photos and descriptions are exactly as website describes only more amazing.

This house is spectacular. We hosted seven couples for a reunion weekend. The house could not have been more perfect. Grand, comfortable for everyone, and not at all stuffy or fussy. Very well set up for a group.
