Country cottage on working farm

A fantastic stay in excellent accommodation for a four generations catch up. Extremely family-friendly.

Our family (6 adults and 4 young children) enjoyed 5 nights in this beautiful and comfortable cottage. It is open, filled with light and feels like a warm, inviting home. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful! They checked to see that we were settled in and answered all my queries promptly. They set a log fire to welcome us and provided breakfast supplies and some special treats. The five bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and the beds are superbly comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a full laundry. Two living areas and two bathrooms means that this home easily accommodates ten people. We loved sharing meals (and playing card games) at the large dining table. Our grandchildren were excited to toast marshmallows at the outdoor fire pit. We enjoyed the peace and fresh air, the clear night sky, seeing sheep, kangaroos and abundant bird life. From the farm, we visited Yass, Canberra and the “snow” at Curin Forest. We can fully recommend this property.

We were so impressed with this property and the weekend away. Right from the excellent communication on booking and throughout our stay the hosts were amazing and their property exceeded expectations- it was in a beautiful countryside location, spacious, clean, well equipped, welcoming and warm at a very cold time of year. Our family group which ranged from grandparents to grandchildren had a great time and we loved the fireplaces both inside and out. Highly recommended
