Aspen House in Fish Camp- 2 Miles from Yosemite's South Entrance

The management company sent us directions and access instructions and we would never have found the house in the dark. There is no street sign off the main highway. We had to stay in Oakhurst the first night because we could not find the house in the dark when we arrived. The access instructions said the garage door opener was broken and to enter through the side door into garage. The code and door knob did not work, the knob just spun around. Since there is no cell phone service outside the house, we struggled with the door and finally tried the garage door opener. The door opened. We informed the manager in person what had happened and he said he forgot to change our email instructions for access to the house. Also, the cabinets in the kitchen look worn and need attention, one cabinet door is hanging off the hinge, and the rug on the porch is stained. The location to the park was the best feature.

This house was so amazing and cozy!! The location couldn't be beat as its so close to the Yosemite park entrance (even close than I had anticipated). Fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed to make our meals (make sure to buy whatever you need before driving in as there is little to nothing as far as stores nearby). Scenery was so beautiful and peaceful. So nice to come back to the coziness of the living room after a long day in the park and just enjoy this place and its beauty all around. It was the perfect place for our family trip. Would definitely stay here again.

The beds were not the most comfortable and there were definitely not enough pillows to sleep comfortably. All hotels/airbnbs provide a minimum or two pillows per guest, this place had only one pillow per guest. That made it a little uncomfortable. I think also some amenities would have been nice such as water for guests or mini toothpastes just something to give it an extra touch of hospitality since everything is so far away if we needed to purchase something. These are minor things I think can be improved so overall would stay again.

The neatness and space

Nothing ! But a hot tub would have been a great addition!
