Beautiful place, wonderful pool area and the room was also spacious and clean. The bed frame was a bit wonky, one foot was loose, but we were able to fix it. All in all, lovely place and friendly staff.

We loved the views from the property, the rooms were so comfortable and beautiful, the wine tasting and tour were incredible. Federico made us feel so welcomed, he took great care of us during our stay. He gave us an incredible recommendation for dinner one night as we had already eaten at the Restaurant in Rocca for breakfast, lunch and dinner. While the Rocca restaurant was absolutely amazing, we had one of the best dinners in the area close by thanks to his recommendation. We were so happy with our stay and will definitely be back. Thank you Federico, thank you Rocca for a beautiful stay.
Nothing to not like

Beautiful apartment, setting and views! Incredible restaurant on site with very helpful staff.
Would have been nice if breakfast was included

The staff were mostly fantastic, speaking better English than our Italian. The views are stunning and the location is rural and very quiet. The restaurant on-site is lovely - but very very pricey. The waiting staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you. To look at, it's probably one of the prettiest hotels I've stayed in. Which made our experience all the more disappointing...
There's nothing to do!! - The restaurant opens only briefly for breakfast 8 - 10am, then for lunch 12 - 2pm, then for dinner, but is closed all other times. - The pool is lovely but closes strictly at 7:30pm despite the sun still being out. - It's not in walking distance of anything at all, the closest village is a short drive away but there's very little there, and after that you're looking at a 30 min drive to the next interesting places. - there is no shop, no cafe, no bar near by. - One of the major disappointments for us was there's nowhere outside just sit and enjoy the views in the evenings. There is a grassy area next to the pool that I think may be what is referred to as a 'terrace' on the listing but there are no tables or chairs. Having nowhere to relax before or after a meal with your fellow guests - the only place to be is in your room. This could be easily rectified by simply putting some tables and chairs out on the grass. Even a couple of benches. There is a sign in the room saying you're not supposed to eat and drink your own food and beverages in your room - which we found strange - but since we couldn't afford to eat in the restaurant every night we ended up breaking the rules and having cold picnics while watching Netflix. We spoke to other guests and they were saying exactly the same. There were a couple of families with small children and they were furious at the lack of facilities. We don't even have children and we were the same, after the first two nights it was a bit boring and wishing we'd booked somewhere else. There is obviously so much history in the buildings but there is no information to read about it anywhere, nothing to celebrate its heritage, even a printed out PDF would have been nice. I'm sure lots of this is explained on a wine tasting but it would be nice to be able to read about it in your own time too.
