Wansbeck Riverside Caravan Park

Excellent little Pod for a weekend of peace & quiet. Very compact bt enough room for a solo traveller. Bed very comfy - if difficult to get on to - Nice secluded holiday park with lovely views to field & River from the Patio - & busy little on-site cafe next to the River open every day for Breakfast/Lunch with access to a big children’s play area - Very Hilly site & used the car to go up & down to the Cafe & River. Nearest Shops & petrol are 5 minits drive away - cooking is by air fryer & microwave & has a Very small fridge - I gifted 2 proper Coffee mugs to the Pod for guests as the cups were too small for a decent size “North-East cuppa” - which had been mentioned in previous reviews. - A canny weekend stay in a lovely peaceful area. Will definitely stay again - Soon

Shower is on the small size for the larger visitor - & the bed has to be Clambered onto to get in as it’s set back in a wall to wall alcove - not suitable for those less agile visitors - Very comfy to sleep in tho’ - the Dog-Friendly status thru’out the site shud be highlighted much more in advertising & on booking-sites as they are allowed everywhere on leads - bt even Inside the cafe which may be a negative for some visitors 😕

The caravan park is set in a beautiful and peaceful location. The caravan itself was very comfortable and absolutely spotless. Nicola, the host, was very friendly and helpful. Bath towels and bed linen were provided.

Everything was great. Suggestions to improve would be hooks in the bathroom for towels and blackout curtains in the bedroom, but this doesn't distract from it being a 10/10. Would love to stay here again.

I thought it had everything I needed for a few nights away. The bed was very comfortable. Blankets were supplied to put on settee and bed as I had a dog with me.

The accommodation was beautiful and spotless the location was just what we wanted so relaxing and lovely walks along the river
