We stayed here for 2 nights during the off season (November). Found it great value - room was clean with consistent heating & hot water temps. Having access to a kitchenette was a bonus as well and really helped with cooking some meals. While breakfast wasn't provided via their standard buffet, they were kind enough to prepare some sweet & savory options (alongside milk & OJ) in our kitchenette when we arrived, so that we could self service throughout our stay. Service was excellent, super friendly, and nothing was too much trouble.
Please include some standard basics in the kitchenette (eg oil, salt, pepper). We had to do a quick run to a co-op nearby, but since these are non-perishables they should be fine to be left behind/passed on to other travelers :)

The locations screams “Serene”. It has everything for a pleasant stay with typical Tuscan vibes
The double bed had 2 mattresses, so it was a bit uncomfortable at night, but nothing we couldn’t manage.

Beautiful views! Such charming rooms, great space.
would be great to have basics in the kitchen (salt, pepper, olive oil).

Gorgeous ambiance, roomy apartment, great staff everywhere! The place is dog friendly and also couple friendly. We will come back.
Nice breakfast, good coffee.
People accommodated on the top floor should be aware that the building is traditionally built and noise insulation at the ground floor room isn’t the best - hence pay bit more respect to other guests.
Restaurant is gorgeous but the menu lacks choice for pescatarian/veg/poultry eaters

Very kind hosts, always ready to help. The staff was competent and friendly. The location was fine. Good coffee for breakfast. There was always enough space by the pool. We had a two-bedroom apartment. The beds were very comfortable, the bedrooms spacious, but the kitchen was tiny, connected to the living room, which had no air conditioning, so it was hot.
The pool, despite being closed already at 8 p.m., was not cleaned properly. In the morning, there were hairs floating around and the water was not crystal clear.
Breakfasts were very monotonous, the same every day with little variety. An extra charge for a boiled egg (€3), an omelet (€6), etc., when you’re paying nearly €300 per night, is quite excessive. Very limited choice from the lunch menu.
The grounds could be better maintained.

The breakfast is delicious with a great choice.
The location is ideal to explore local towns & villages.
The views over the pool are beautiful & enough sun beds for everyone.
Insects but it’s not the hotels fault just time of year.

This is the best part of Tuscany in our opinion and the Relais is totally in the country. Guests are treated like a high class hotel. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful. The proximity to Castelina in Chianti was perfect as we shopped there at the deli and grocery store. We were also thrilled to be staying in the middle of an active vineyard. We did not use the pool however many did and it was a beautiful scene with vineyards. The breakfast was very good with many options and we enjoyed eating while sitting outside with a beautiful view.
The air conditioning in our apartment was a little weak but we were there during a heat wave. Our apartment had very few plugs and no modern coffee maker or microwave. A modern coffee maker would have been nice as the Moka provided was very labor intensive. However I think people choose this kind of stay for the traditional experience.

All my friends asked me, what was the best part of our Italian vacation (in two weeks we went to Tuscany, Florence, Venice, Lake Garda, Lake Como, Milan, and Switzerland)... I cannot say I love more Tuscany or Lake Como... that's like saying, "which kid do I love the most!! Tuscany had our hearts. The wine, the atmosphere, the people, the music... Everyone was so kind, we used this hotel as a base to also go to Pisa, Montepulciano and many other regional cities... I gave the pool a 9 out of 10 because I had to use the skimmer once to clean the pool of bugs and grass... ha ha... feel like I earned a bottle of wine, ha ha... no big deal, I am there for the family and it was just funny for them to see pops cleaning the pool. We bought so much wine from the resort and the food on-site is CULINARY MAGIC... We will be back, I love this place!

We loved the location, particularly when driving yourself as it was about half way between Florence and Sienna. So many things around the area to see.
Breakfast included was a great start to the day. The two bedroom apartment had two lovely bedrooms and a bathroom and kitchen. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nothing to dislike. Suggestion for visitors… Definitely a place to have your own transport to make it easy to go to supermarkets and visit the many medieval towns surrounding us.

Very clean room, good facilities, exceptional staff. We appreciated the location and our short stay. Apartments are very well equipped.
On the other hand, I believe that breakfast could definitely be improved with more local products and a wider variety of choice.

The best location possible. Spectacular views from every angle. Up on a hilltop overlooking Tuscany. Better than what we dreamed a Tuscan view would be. Great pool area with a view. Restaurant and service were great. Staff were outstanding, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile. We will be back!!!

Incredible villa with an amazing view of the Chianti hills. Perfect swimming pool to relax.
The restaurant was super tasty for our lunch meals.
Our house was spacious, shower with the right pressure, comfortable bed, nice kitchen area.
In my opinion the only two downsides were breakfast (the options don’t really change and are not spectacular, so after 2 or 3 nights you don’t really look forward to it).
And the fact that they use a Nespresso machine. In a country like Italy, known for its espresso culture, I was honestly disappointed to drink coffee out of a capsule each morning.

Beautiful location in Tuscany on the vineyard with nice facilities.
The restaurant and views were stunning. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with organising tours for cooking classes / vineyards etc.
The property isn't "serviced" like you'd expect a hotel to be, they don't offer a turn-over service unless you pay a fee.
The pool towels are very expensive, when you would expect a hotel to offer these given the pool is on the property. Our room also had previous guests who had cooked in the room and it smelt very fishy throughout our stay which wasn't nice.

Amazing Tuscan houses, excellent food. Despite the restaurant is fine dining, they prepared also apropriate food for kids. Views are amazing as well as overall atmosphere.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable; parking easy and plentiful. Reception was excellent with their assistance and information. The restaurant was only used for breakfast which I might add is an outstanding feature with a full complement of breakfast selections, including espressos and cappuccinos. Staff were absolutely amazing and friendly. The vistas and panoramic views were stupendous from this hilltop converted farm. Most importantly it was quiet! A true centric spot for exploring the heart of Tuscany.
Not so much what we didn't like but getting there and the fact we were early with our visit so much so that the greenery and spectacular colours of spring had still not come out so we never got to see the splendour of Tuscany. Roads are typically twisty and elevation changes are pretty well standard, as are blind corners and unseen corners. We also didn't take advantage of some of the "tour" services or country side hill treks. We used the hotel as a hub to visit nearby towns and cities, and other tourist sites.

Location great and never experienced better personnel at any place or any price. Restaurant superb for dinner, 360 degree great views.
My apartment had a small living room and kitchen but others were great. The stone stairways are ancient and irregular presenting fall risks for older clients.

Location excellent, quiet, nice view. Suite spacious, cool even in hot weather.
We missed vegetables at breakfast, the dirt road of 800 m is a bit of a disadvantage.

This place is amazing, everyone is so friendly and helpful, the facilities are great, swimmingpool is quite big, there is a lot of nature around to enjoy the views. We did the wine tour as well and it was very interesting, we really enjoyed it

The place is absolutely fantastic, beautiful views, great accommodation and service. The swimming pool is clean and suitable for kids as well.
The breakfast is bit complicated, you have to order the day upfront and the selection is limited, bread wasn't fresh at all.

The stay was very pleasant. The whole Relais is a restored 11th century village (few buildings with small Chapel/Church) surrounded by vineyards. The views are certainly mesmerizing. The apartment was fully equipped, spacious, interior - authentic, beds comfortable. We did enjoy breakfast and dinner at their gourmet restaurant.
