Up Tribeca

The staff was always helpful and friendly, the room we were assigned to was huge with good beds and all the necessary amenities. the hallways with the rooms is beautiful. the location might seem "unsafe" at night, as it is located in the historic center, but we felt comfortable and it was easy to get to the main tourist spots.

They didn't provide us with blankets, and the beds only had sheets and a very thin duvet. The rooms have an air conditioner that you can use for heat as well, so it was okay. but it was really cold so blankets would have been nice. Also, the breafast was good quality, but very small and few options, just fyi in case this is important for you.

The hotel generally is nice, quite good location. Room generally was clean (but very old pillows and towels). Staff were nice.

On the 1st floor hotel has a space, that they rent for private parties. When we entered at first we were terrified as it seemed like we entered to the club. But we had room on the 3rd floor and we didn’t hear anything, so its ok. But still its rather unpleasant impression. Towels & pillows really need to be replaced!!! Pillows itself were terribly dirty, just disgusting. Towels were so old that they are grey now. Shower is badly designed: were had lots of water on the floor of the bathroom outside of the shower each time. Impossible to avoid it.

Online checking did not worked, after submitting all personal information and passport pictures, had to re do it all over again as the system did not recorded properly. The rooms were not as expected. Firstly the doors are vintage made of glass and wood, so you don’t feel as safe and you can hear absolutely everything from the outside. The room is filled with a commercial deodorant/sanitizer that is extremely strong. I had to leave my door open several times to let the smell out The room is pretty average, old gadgets, the floor was completely shattered in different areas temporarily fixed with clear tape, you could feel it was empty inside. The water in the shower leaked to the bathroom every time. The worst part was the noice; you can hear people taking a shower upstairs, taking on the next one, everyone walking/talking outside, it was so hard to concentrate to sleep. The location is ok from a big picture but the front and next door buildings are not exactly good looking.
