Very well restored old house with good amenities

A bit small but other things made up for that

We stayed in the 2 story villa and had a very nice stay. The villa had everything we needed. It was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable, we slept so hard. The outdoor Onsen was private and very enjoyable. I had the chance to get the Japanese breakfast and it was good. Evenings were quiet. Local area is walkable, the town takes 20 min to walk from one end to the other. Tip: If you don't have a car, take a taxi from Family Mart to the Izu Panoramic park.

Location is on the farther end of town, but not a big deal. The town itself is very different from the big city bustle, so dinner locations seemed limited. Getting around without a car can be challenging, but it can be managed.

The hotel is magical, our house was gorgeous and the private onsen wonderful too. The hotel went over and beyond taking care of our 2 year old. They made an exception accepting him and then welcomed him so nicely and even adapted breakfast for him. The breakfast itself was just gorgeous, the most beautiful and tasty selection of little bites. We would love to go back.

This was our first stay at Ryokan, and it was a divine experience! As soon as you enter premises, you are in the calm oasis surrounded by beautiful japanese garden. Rooms are furnished in traditional way, using new furniture to provide the comfort. We really enjoyed private onsen with hot spring water after all the traveling around Japan. Dressed in yukata, wearing wooden geta we went to the original kaiseki dinner that blew our minds. It was as fresh as it could get, seasonal, delicious and really fulfilling. Breakfast was also in japanese style, and we really loved it! Room also provides minibar stacked with teas, coffeemaker and fridge filled with delicious sodas, tea and water, which is refreshing especially after the onsen.
