Silverlake and Echo Park - 6min to Downtown and Hollywood -

Unfortunately ran into too many problems to have a comfortable stay, we were there for 2 nights. The beddings had clearly not been cleaned after the previous guests, the bedding in the main room had juice stains, and ant infestation. The bathroom had an ant infestation as well. The plates etc. were dirty and we cleaned it ourselves upon arrival. Temperature is controlled by the owner who lives next door, and the Air Conditioner is kept off most of the day. As we are tourists, we would only get back late at night. Thus difficult to reach host given the late hour to request him to turn on the AC. The first night we tossed and turned in the heat and with the ants. The second night was better but the AC would switch off in between. Note that the flat is up very narrow and steep stairs, not suitable for carrying heavy luggage.

The location was perfect, the staff was helpful and responsive, the instructions were clear, and there was excellent communication.

There was a lot of hidden costs not shown in the app. Original listed price was 381, and it went up to 700+ for cleaning and service fees.

Good location...

The location is excellent. The unit is private and a short drive to West Hollywood, Los Feliz, Griffith Observatory and Echo Park. The host was considerate and responsive to assist us with parking. The suite has everything you need for a relaxing stay. And the back garden is beautiful and fragrant. Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are nearby plus great restaurants and pubs.

The road is steep… but manageable. it is part of the charm of Silver Lake.

The steps up to the unit were uneven and I fell a few times while carrying my belongings

I loved how simple and clean it was. the shower was beautiful and relaxing I love the design of the bathroom! there was also reserved parking in the driveway so didn’t need to worry about parking in the street. the neighborhood was very quiet. it’s close by to a lot of places to eat and drink and shop.

it’s a very tight space so if you want something with more room or area then you don’t want to come here. there wasn’t a kitchen but there was a fridge and a microwave and a few dishes to use for take out in the bedroom closet. it’s similar to a motel room you literally have a room with TV, couch, desk, then a bathroom and then a sleeping room. the pillows were very thin but I always bring my own so if you need thicker pillows then make sure to bring your own. no central heating or ac that I could find but during our stay in Los Angeles the weather was fairly cool so we found just opening windows was fine. I’m sure you could reach out to the owners the unit was probably controlled from another part of the building. there’s a back porch area but no furniture out there. they need a new toilet seat too the one in the property was sliding over too much. be careful on the stairs for they will catch you there’s a lip about halfway up that got me every time. the lock box was hard to open but I have fake nails so that’s probably why. I would suggest too fixing the motion censored porch light it would come on for a second or two and then go off making it difficult to see your keys to open the door

No hay microondas , no hay cocina, el sofá cama no sirve incómodo para dormir , las cortinas no sirven a nada, son casi transparentes a las 6 AM tienes el sol en tu cara , y está lleno de HORMIGAS , atención no te devuelven el depósito de 250 dólares , cuando en sus condiciones te especifican que te lo devuelven de 5 a 7 días !

Die Einrichtung war sehr modern und die Lage mit Mietwagen ist super. Das Bett war Mega bequem. Jederzeit gerne wieder! 👍

Einziges Manko, das man sich keine Gerichte aufwärmen konnte. Eine Mikrowelle wäre toll gewesen.

La posizione è eccezionale, vicina ad alcune delle principali attrazioni di LA. Certo, il traffico della megalopoli è quel che è ma si può sopravvivere per qualche giorno. Se andate a LA, questo è il posto dove soggiornare!

Die Lage war ok, es war sauber und es gab sogar im Bad Duschgel, etc.

FAZIT: nach guten 4 Wochen bekommen wir unsere Kaution von 250 Dollar nicht zurück. nachdem wir unser Geld zurück wollten und er auf die persönlichen Nachrichten nicht reagiert hat, haben wir dies über booking versucht. Nun sagt er auf einmal, dass wir einen Schaden in der Wand verursacht haben (das fällt ihm erst 4 Wochen später ein) und wir bekommen das Geld nicht zurück. Booking konnte leider nicht helfen, jetzt gehts zur Rechtschutzversicherung! Ganz ehrlich, lieber Hände weg. Leider war die Coach nicht ausgezogen und nicht vorbereitet für die dritte Person. Es gab keine persönliche Übergabe, wir haben den Vermieter nie gesehen. Die Klimaanlage war selbst nicht steuerbar und gab es nur im Schlafzimmer. Wir haben dann jedoch einen Ventilator gefunden. Zwei Parkplätze gab es direkt beim Haus, waren leider besetzt. Es gab jedoch direkt an der Straße auch Möglichkeiten zu parken. Bei der Zahlung war verwirrend, dass der Name für die Abbuchung (Patterson Properties) nicht mit dem Namen der Unterkunft (Silverlake und Echopark) übereinstimmte. Daher sperrte ich vorab aus dem Heimatland meine Visa. war dann in L.A. alles sehr kompliziert. Nach langem hin und her haben wir eine Möglichkeit gefunden eine Zahlung durchzuführen.
