Hotel Alte Post Fieberbrunn

The spa area is absolutely excellent with its varied saunas, showers and resting areas, and the provided slippers and robe add greatly to the sense of relaxation. We might have gotten a room upgrade due to the massive reconstruction of the front yard, and were accommodated in an absolutely gorgeous room at the backside of the building where there was no noise. The bed was very large and very comfortable, and the bathroom super modern. Everything in the room was spotlessly clean, and there was even a swing hanging from the ceiling to chill in! Breakfasts were absolutely delicious with great variety in everything, there was even a possibility to make one's own freshly squeezed veggie juice. There was an information card placed on each table including the upcoming day's weather conditions, local events and other useful knowledge that was such a lovely extra touch! Dinners were equally tasty with very attentive and friendly service, much appreciated! And I must make a separate mention of how well we were received for arriving late to our first dinner due to issues with massage arrangements - the provided cheese buffet was already closing, but our server personally saw the trouble to arrange separate cheese plates to be made for us, so that we could enjoy the evening's experience in its entirety. This really made our holiday!

It would have been nice to know about the front yard construction beforehand and not after booking and paying, we would have kept the reservation anyway. Unfortunately the service with Reception was always disturbingly lacking, for example a lady claimed they have no such service as a pick-up or drop-off by car between the hotel and the train station. Upon asking her again and citing this service is mentioned on their website, she then stated the car would need to be booked an entire 72 hours in advance! Such a pity since the only way for us to now make this part of the journey was only possible by a taxi. Already right after booking we approached Reception about arranging two massages for our stay, to which they replied we should make our bookings upon arrival, which already sounded highly unusual. Not surprisingly once we arrived there was only one massage slot left, so now one of us was completely left without one! Not a single apology was extended due to this obvious unprofessionalism that really ruined a lot about our intended relaxation holiday. Also the bartender seemed to either be very new to the profession or tied to strangely strict rules - no deviation to pre-determined drinks recipes were accepted even when we obviously offered to pay the difference. The pictures of the rooftop infinity pool aren't very accurate, in fact once in the pool, it's impossible to see the mountain views due to waist-high frosted glass fencing, unlike in the marketing material. And the outdoor sauna was closed without any prior notice "due to environmental reasons" and then - all of a sudden, with the closure notice still attached to the hallway door - the sauna was suddenly hot, which seemed to surprise all of the spa guests.

Sehr nettes Personal, tolle Lage und auch die Verpflegung vor Ort war super.

Der Pool bzw die Poolterasse war leider etwas zu klein für die Anzahl an Gästen. Für die Bestuhlung auf dem Balkon hätten wir uns Sitzauflagen gewünscht.

Frühstück und Lage ware perfekt. Parkplatz auch super. Der Spa und Pool Bereich ist sehr ansprechend und zum Wohlfühlen einladend.

Die Polster und Decken waren aus Federn, für uns als eher höherne schläfer brachte das Rückenschmerzen. Der Hängesessel war zwar super aber man hatte jedes mal wenn man sich darauf setzte das gefühl das er gleich runter fällt. Es wprde leider nicht genug gesaugt wir fanden Grümmel am Boden.
