Daydream house, Sunrise, sunset views across lake

A comfortable stay for a family of 6 - lots of beds with lovely fresh linen and well equipped kitchen. The view of the lake is wonderful and the cottage was so quiet. We throughly enjoyed our stay at daydream house.

The oven could do with some maintenance, we needed to cook as we’d been travelling in NZ for a length of time with kids and the found that the door had quite a sizeable gap when closed. This made it hard to bake and cook dinner properly, also the BBQ which is located in the living room????? has a letter outlining a range of instructions about taking it outside then returning it to the living room and cleaning instructions with a fine issued if not followed…… we weren’t game to use this felt too complicated for a BBQ - perhaps just a cover on the deck would be sufficient. This is a very quiet location but a car is essential- you are a distance from the main area.

The view from the property and it was very good value. It is a large property with plenty of kitchen items. The neighbourhood cat was a bit hit with the kids!

It needs mirrors in the bedrooms for getting ready. The oven door doesn’t close properly but we managed.

The views were magnificent. The house although not new was extremely comfortable, just like visiting your grandmother for a stay. Very calming and relaxing.

It was charming nothing not to like.
