Very noisy. Since we had no sie condition in pur room we needed to keep the window open but had a lot of Noise late into the night

The staff allowed us to efficiently and quickly change room because of a problem we had and each day a member of staff kept checking that everything was good with our change of room. It was good and professional management.

We had to change room as it smelt of dog and my wife has dog dander allergies. On our second night there was large gaps of time between courses when we asked for no pause. The serving staff advised it was the kitchen. We found it too long, ie 1.5 hrs and still waiting for our dessert. We almost gave up. I would have done so but husband wanted his pudding! When we complained for the third time it came immediately.

We had a lovely room! Just perfect! A recent refurb had been carried out to a very high quality.The reception on arrival was really nice and inviting — evening dinner was excellent quality and good value. Super location for the river and chair lift ( and train)

Very Average at best.

The property is split between 2 buildings. the beds were uncomfortable. We had difficulties in the bathroom getting hot water, had to run the water for 5 minutes to get some. And the bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan so after bathing or showering it was very damp.

Historic hotel in a gorgeous little town

I really enjoyed my stay here! The hotel itself is in a historic building that is in the center of Assmannshausen, a gorgeous little town near Rüdesheim. The lift to get up the mountain is directly next to hotel, but there are also tour boats and many restaurants in walking distance to the hotel. My stay was during the off season, so many places were still closed or not operating yet (like the lift to the mountain) and the town itself was very quiet and empty. This also meant that the cosmetic and massage offers were limited, but it was still possible to book something in the very pretty and well-kept spa. I would really like to highlight the exceptional service here - all staff was very friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating! The breakfast buffet is fresh, varied and very good!

- The walls of my room were thin - on the first night of my stay, there was an event going on in the restaurant on the ground floor and I could hear the music loudly in my room on the 2nd floor. The hotel is also right next to a church with very loud church bells. - I wasn't able to sleep well on the mattress in my room (too thin and hard) - The hotel is in a very old building with a lot of interesting nooks and narrow hallways - if you have accessability issues, then you may want to clarify if you can be accommodated here.

Comfortable, well=catered stay in attractive old inn

We had a superb room with separate sitting room and hugs shower room. Extremely comfortable - excellent breakfast - good bar/restaurant on site - all in central Assmanshausen and close to the river. Highly recommended.

Superb

3 stars for bike storage. We were on a cycling holiday down the Rhine. They had an area for storing bicycles, we were able to lock ours to a radiator so were reasonably happy that it was safe. The hotel was in a good location, the spar was great and the massage we had was excellent. Great food, very large portions.

The bicycle storage area didn't appear to be ever locked.

A very comfortable, relaxing and convenient base from which to explore the Rhine.

Very close to regional train making it easy to access towns in the Rheingau. fabulous breakfast buffet was included with our room. Room and premises very clean. The food was excellent at the hotel restaurant. Staff was very friendly.

My stay was lovely and relaxing!

Amazing location! Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable; I didn’t spend much time in there so the size wasn’t an issue.

My window faced a busy staircase and some strangers got a peep show before I realized. The parking is not great either. Carried a suitcase a good distance up a hill to get to my car. Not fun. The wine bath that is offered is just a regular bubble bath with wine oil in the soap. The message was not deep enough, felt like a glorified back rub. My two spa experiences were the worst part of my trip but, they weren’t horrible and it didn’t take away from my stay.

For a day trip OK, staying overnight is not necessary. Wonderful & luxury sauna-good for rainy days!

Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Room not so quiet - we could hear our neighbours watching televison and the cars who passing by.

The price is to high for the room and value you get. Only the great, wonderful and luxury Sauna place, which you can use for free as hotel guest, could make the daily rate understandable.

Breakfast was O.K. , but its hard to say exactly as CORONA restrictions probably made some changes. Hotel placement was good and our room was very nice with a balcony and in two levels - quite spacious for a hotel.
