Romantic Strand Getaway #201 ~ Hendley Market Lofts on The Strand. Great, open concept studio with private balcony overlooking the historic and fun-filled Strand. This loft offers a well equipped and full kitchen, dining area, private bath and a private balcony. The Hendley Market Lofts are walkable to restaurants and shops in the Strand District. One block to many great restaurants on Harborside. Loft on 2nd floor, Stairs involved (no elevator).
1) Shared common area please observe quiet times 10pm-7am
2) Please do not move items from one loft to another ~ items must stay in their specific loft.
3) Do not move furniture (there will be a fee if furniture is moved)
4) Please do not use white towels for food, food clean up, make up removal or anything that will stain them. We provide paper towels, make up wash cloth, make up remover wipes and various cleaning products. (there will be fees for ruined items that require replacement)
5) Do not use glitter or confetti in the lofts. (there will be an additional fee if additional cleaning is required)
6) Place all food in the trash ~ the loft(s) do not have garbage disposals
7) Do not share codes with anyone other than registered guests.
8) I give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to verify my identity and check criminal databases to confirm my reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest verification can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. Please check your spam inbox for this email and contact the property manager if you have any questions.

The location is unmatched. Right on the strand. And across the street from the pier. We were able to walk around and explore during the day and night. Or just hang around on the balcony and take in the ambience. We were right outside the noise zone. You can still hear the live music but at a distance somewhat it’s not right under you. Plus the hosts kindly provided earplugs. I didn’t feel the need to use them but any light sleeper might. It was an honor to stay here,really. The original cedar blinds wow. Just a gorgeous place to stay! Super clean! Full size fridge! The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. However, I was shocked to see a ghost tour happening right outside my door and wished I’d done a little research about Hendley market before booking. If you don’t believe in ghosts or are a ghost enthusiast you should definitely stay here! I am somewhat spooked by ghosts so that did affect the romance for our anniversary trip. My wife though, very well acquainted with ghosts and is insistent we stay here every time we’re in Galveston.

Our host April and her team were incredible. This is our 4th stay at this location. So unique and incredible downtown location. Nicely appointed loft and incredible elevated patio on the strand. Beautiful floors, counter tops and bathroom. Full kitchen, fridge, dish washer and access to a washer and dryer. Walking distance to incredible historic sites, restaurants and bars. You can listen to live music from your balcony! Great furniture on the balcony. Provided coffee was great. Comfortable furniture and bed. We will be back. Fine dinning within walking distance. Short drive to the beach and awesome historical ghost tours. So much history in the area.
