Clean, quiet, and large.

The property is beautiful structurally and served our short term purpose. However, it was very dirty, unsanitary to say the least. The day we arrived the smell when we entered the foyer, kitchen, dining room, and living room was atrocious. After investigating the problem it appeared to be coming from two garbage cans in the kitchen. We took out the very full bags to the trash cans outside. We did not cook during our stay , but when attempting to find pans to reheat our leftovers we ran into very dirty drawers. It appeared to look like dead bugs, but upon further inspection it may be that, food or spices, and grease in the drawers. On top of the island there was a vase with dead roses and water covered with mold, another contributor to the stench. The worst of it all was the dishwasher to the right of the sink. It was full of dirty dishes covered with mold that due to the length of time they had been in there the mold became powdery. We found dishwasher pods under the sink and ran the dishwasher but the dishes still looked questionable. The inside and outside of the refrigerator are quite dirty with many items inside that appear to be outdated. Next, there are crumbs of food on the carpet in the living room and a dead gecko between the couch and the side table that has been there for quite a while. The tables in the pool area are covered with dirt, very old dirt, and pollen from the trees. Lastly, the floor in our suite was beyond dirty, my white socks were black after I unpacked and set up our room, and the bathroom mirror has accumulated dirt.
Please know that I spoke with Kim to alert her to all these concerns because we do not want to give VRBO a poor review of our experience without giving your company an opportunity to address these concerns. The property needs a major cleaning overhaul, and the renters need to be better informed and held accountable for their failure to maintain this beautiful place clean and sanitary. The facility is very nice and comfortable. I wish you advertised there was no television. There was a lack of cleaning supplies for residents to use.
